C.V.R. Rajendran appointed as the new CMD of Andhra Bank

After being headless for more than three months Andhra Bank, a public sector bank (PSB) of Andhra Pradesh with a network of 1,938 branches has recently announced that the Central Government has appointed Mr. C.V.R.Rajendran as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the organization. Rajendran earlier worked as Executive Director, Bank of Maharashtra. He will be Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Bank for a period of five years or until superannuation, whichever is earlier. Paper Was  neither easy nor difficult.

I started with GA section:-
It was full of banking related questions, hardly 4-5 current affairs question. Few Questions are getting repeated from RRB and IBPS PO papers, I would recommend to go through the questions asked in these exams. Those who have their exam on 14th, Plz do focus on banking awareness. My attempt 31 but not with much accuracy, Hope i ll make it to the cut off marks.

Review and Questions Asked in IBPS Clerks III Online Exam Held on 7th December 2013 - Evening Shift

Friends, I'm Mounika Rao. I red today's morning session's review before going to my exam. The afternoon's session is also almost similar to the morning session. All sections are easy to moderate levels. The aptitude section was little time consuming and tricky, I could only attempt 24 questions. 21 of them are correct. The reasoning section was moderate, its easy even it was little time taking. I could attempt 32 questions. English was nice but the cloze test and paragraph questions are hard for me. I could attempt 28 questions. I felt computer knowledge section was easy, I could attempt 34 questions you should have good idea on basics like cpu, momery,abbreviations,network, number system, software, output input etc. For general awareness they mostly concentrated on banking awareness. Almost all are basic level questions. So you need to prepare banking basics, about rbi and its plans, abbreviations and terminology well. I could attempt 30 questions in this section. I expect 25+ may correct in this section. I feel some questions are repeating from last week's paper and IBPS RRB's paper. Here are some questions I remember,

Bharat Ratna Nelson Mandela Dies

South Africa's first black president and Anti-Apartheid Icon Nelson Mandela (18th July 1918 – 5th December 2013) has died today of complications from a recurring lung infection. He is 95. He was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary and was imprisoned for 27 years. Later he became a politician and served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.  He was the first black South African to hold the office, and the first elected in a fully representative, multiracial election. He was the winner of Nobel Peace Prize for the year 1993 (jointly shared this award with Frederik Willem de Klerk) "for the work for the peaceful termination of the apartheid regime, and for laying the foundations for a new democratic South Africa".

Friends, the National Insurance Company Ltd (NICL) has issued another revised notification for the Re-Exam of its AO (Administrative Officers). Earlier the organization has stated that the exam will be held on 15th December and 22nd December 2013. Now it has announced that the exam will be held on 15th, 22nd and 29th December 2013. Fresh Admit Cards for the written examination will be sent to the email ids of the candidates and the same can be downloaded from NICL's website, 7 days prior to the examination. Vedic Maths Shortcut Technique for Subtraction

Friends, in yesterday's post we have discussed about the vedic maths shortcut for addition. Today we shall discuss about the subtraction shortcut technique. Finding the difference of two numbers is known as Subtraction. We call it as Vyavakalana in Sanskrit. Subtraciton is the second easiest operation in Mathematics. However, students as well as elders may get confusion while doing subtraction, especially while subtracting bigger digits from smaller ones. Actually, while subtracting smaller number from a bigger number our present traditional method holds good. But, when it happens to subtract a bigger digit from a smaller digit we have to borrow 10 from the preceding digit, add it to the smaller digit and then we have to subtract the bigger digit. As an alternate, there is a method in our 'Vedic Mathematics' known as "Bindvankana Method", which is very much useful, easier, practicable and advisable in the operation of subtractions. It is also called as "Dot Method". In this method the operation addition, used in a different way gives the result of subtraction. It is clearly explained in the following example.
