India's largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI) has released recruitment notification for the posts of Probationary Officers for the year 2019. There are 2000 posts in total. In banking sector, SBI PO recruitment is considered to be most attractive and toughest recruitment (when compared to IBPS and other banking exams). As we have enough time, with proper planning and hard-work, you can easily achieve your dream job. Here we are giving you the list of important books for SBI PO 2019 preparation. This list has been prepared by Sunaina Mondal, Assistant Manager (Scale-I) at State Bank of India (Selected in SBI PO 2016) and Aparna Pasupuleti. We are also giving the links to buy these books online so that you can buy the latest editions in lesser price.

Why to go for Standard Books instead of All in Ones ?
There are a number of books for banking exams available in market. The problem with these books is, they only change the cover title according to the exam. The content will be same for almost all banking exams (either it may be IBPS RRB, SBI PO or SBI Clerks). Working with these books wont be suffice for PO level exam, that too for the toughest exams like SBI PO. So if you can afford, always go for standard books instead of All in One remixes or just work with Previous Papers.

Important Books for SBI PO 2019

    • Reason for buying this book : This has been a standard book for quantitative aptitude from many years. This book consists of a number of practice problems with detailed explanations. • Fast Track Objective Arithmetic by Rajesh Verma (Arihant) Latest Edition 2019

Books for General Economy / Banking Awareness

For Standard GK
  • Lucent's General Knowledge (latest edition)
  • Manorama Yearbook 2019
    • Reason for buying this Book : Good book for a quick review of the current affairs and updated standard GK of the year 2017. Has some good info about GST and State wise GK in simple English. The only problem with this book is it has more than enough information which is not required for Bank PO level exam.
    • Link to buy this book : Click HERE to buy this book
For Standard Banking Awareness
  • Banking Awareness (by Arihant)
    • Reason for buying this Book : Covers standard banking awareness topics. But keep in mind, you can't completely rely on this book because most of the questions comes from the recent banking updates. For which Gr8AmbitionZ materials and monthly pdf files are more than enough.
    • Link to buy this book : Click HERE to buy this book
Note : There is no compulsion to buy new books. If you have any good sources, you can refer to older versions too (except GK and Banking Awareness Books). But if you can afford then go for the latest revised versions, which obviously contain more exam accurate with less mistakes. Also check for the date of printing if you are ordering online. Return it immediately if you receive editions prior to 2015. All the Best :)
