Telangana - The 29th State of India

The UPA Government on Tuesday (30th July 2013) accepted the demand for a separate state. It decided to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to create a separate state of Telangana. The new state Telangana will be the 29th state of India comprising 10 districts with plenty of water and some other natural resources in a backward region lacking development that was at the main reason for the separate state demand. The present capital of the Andhra Pradesh state Hyderabad will remain the common capital of the splintered states for 10 years. With a population of over 3.5 crore, the new state will have 17 Lok Sabha seats and 119 assembly seats. The new Telangana state would comprise the 10 districts of Hyderabad, Medak, Adilabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Rangareddy and Warangal. The formation of Telangana will take some time but the bill to create the new state is expected to reach parliament in next 4-5 months, probably in winter session. Granting Telangana statehood could prompt similar demands from regions such as Gorkhaland in West Bengal, Harit Pradesh in Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha in Maharashtra and Maru Pradesh in Rajasthan.

The InternationalCricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of ICC World Cup 2015 at the official launch of the tournament on Tuesday (30th July 2013). Good News for IBPS PO 3 Aspirants - No First Class Needed to Apply

We are back with a good news friends. IBPS has revised the eligibility criteria for the Recruitment of Probationary Officers (POs) and Management Trainees (MTs) for the year 2013. Earlier it has stated that Minimum 60% in Graduation is required and the Max age limit was 28 years. Now the organization has revised the eligibility criteria. New Bank Rate and MSF are 10.25%

In a move to stem the continuing fall of rupee, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has raised in short-term rates with effect from July 15, 2013.  It will help to restore stability to the foreign exchange market .  Last week the Indian currency touched an all-time low of 61.21 vis-a-vis USD. The Reserve Bank of India had not stepped in to curb rupee fall initially, but after a meeting with the government decided to raise the marginal standing facility or MSF along with Bank Rates. So, the RBI has raised Bank Rate to 10.25% from 8.25%. In result the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate also raised to 10.25%. Remaining rates will be unchanged. This will be an indirect rate hike and will reduce the pressure on the rupee.

An Important Message to the people who are not happy wiht the change in the eligibility norms of IBPS PO III 2013 - Dileep D Bhat

Friends, Hope that all the aspirants would have noticed that recent Recruitment Notification published by IBPS :

“ADVERTISEMENT OF COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION [CWE] FOR RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/ MANAGEMENT TRAINEES IN PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS”.

They have made changes in eligibility criteria. 

• The minimum educational qualification now is “ Degree (Graduation) with 60% marks for unreserved category. Earlier it was Degree (Graduation) in any discipline. 
• Also Age has been changed to Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years. Earlier this was Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years. I myself has become a victim of this sort of a unpredictable move by IBPS.
