Friends, here is the Interview Experience of IBPS IT Officers Scale II (Specialist Officers) shared by our friend Navaneetha Krishnan from Chennai. We are very thankful to him for his update (especially for his motivating words and suggestions). We wish him good luck in his interview. Read his Interview Experience and his suggestions in his own words.

Name: NavaneethaKrishnan A

Interview Location : IOB Central Office, Chennai (Interview of all shortlisted candidates from all over TamilNadu was scheduled in this location)

Date & Time : 27-05-2013 & 1:00 PM

Qualification : 3 Years in IT (HCL Tech)

Post : I.T. Officer Scale II

Panel : 5 members

Duration :3-5 Minutes

My interview was scheduled at 1 pm , but it happened around 5 pm, as the Scale 1 Officers(there were around 13 candidates) were interviewed first and i was third last in the Scale 2 Officers' (I guess there were 12 candidates) interview list.

Questions Asked:

What you did in previous project ?
What is your work profile in your current project ?
Why Scale 2 ? Why not Scale 1?
Which is bigger Scale 1 or Scale 2 ?
Why you wish to switch from IT to Banking Sector ?

Interview was nothing like i was expecting . It was more of an interaction between me and interviewers . They were nice and friendly. I was left with mixed feelings as the Interview lasted only for 5 minutes . They didn't assess me functionally or technically . Anyways lets hope for the best.

I guess there is minimal vacancy for the post of IT Officer Scale 2.

Advise for Banking Aspirants:
Don't be silent in waiting hall . It will build up the tension in you . Rather interact with the candidates who are with you . It will ease up the tension .(Trust me it will def help, I did the same thing :D , I was talking about movies, news & all stuffs .Who knows, you may end up making new friends :D ). Don't think too much . Keep your mind as blank as possible .  Be well mannered in interview room . Be Open and Truthful .

Most Important of all, make sure that you carry all the necessary documents, If you don't they won't allow you to attend the interview . The people who were verifying the docs where telling that IBPS has instructed them to not take 'Letter of Undertaking' . People who failed to bring anyone of the documents where sent back home to bring the documents. Be pro active .
