ReplyDeleteIf you are at the initial stage of your preparation better start with Maths tables, Squares and Cubes. Later just have a quick view of the maths formulas of maths to get the brief overview. Later you can schedule your time according to your convenience and prepare all the subjects. Try to make monthwise current affairs shortnotes on your own, with the help of english news papers and websites. If you satisfy with your preparation you can go for Practice Papers.

ReplyDeleteNo need to have the knowledge of bank policies friend. For clerical exam the standard will be less... so basic familiarity of Bnaking will be enough to score good. For IBPS Clerks Banking Awareness our materials will be more than enough. And for current affairs we try to give our best bt if possible try to follow the news papers like the Hindu, Indian Express, Financial Express, Economic Times, Times of India, Hindustan Times. And you can also go through competition magazines like competition success review, competition refresher, Banking service Chronicle, Pratyogita Darpan, civil Service Chronicle etc. (the list is very big –it is sufficient you read one or two magazines and one or two newspaper). Magazines likes India Today, Business Today, Businessworld can also help the candidates.

Better go to the website of Punjab National Bank and read the basic history of that bank. And make up your own convincing answers for the questions Why you Choose this bank and will you work with us for long time etc..

I am an engineering graduate(CSE). I have applied for IBPS CWE clerical cadre. I have not attended any bank exams before. This is my first attempt.I have hopes that i can prepare aptitude computer knowledge and English sections because i have already prepared a bit for my campus placements. I never took interest in Reasoning, General awareness or Awareness regarding Banking Industry and i was not a regular reader of newspapers too. So am worried about whether i can do well in General Awareness section. Can you pls provide me a few ideas so that i can do well in this general awareness section and reasoning. Also will the difficulty level be too high?? Am going to start my preparation just now. Will i be able to cover all the sections within this month.?? Am ready to put in full efforts. Kindly reply mam.

DeleteAnd the difficulty level of IBPS clerks exam is very low when compared to your Campus Placements. If you have no issues with Apti, Comp and English sections, you can easily clear this exam...
For General Awareness you should read the current affairs of 6 months before the date of exam (we mean, you should read current affairs of June from November for the upcoming IBPS Clerks exam)
and for Banking Awareness, first have a look at our Banking Awareness materials so that you can get the basic idea .. That will be enough

2. Personally I don't think migrating from Bank to MNCs is not such a good idea. Because in bank you can get more job security than MNCs. And you have some chances for going abroad (because SBI has branches in other countries too) but its not such a simple task as in Corporate sector.

DeleteAs far as I know, nobody recieved score card till now Ashwini. You can just take the challan from any nearby Chaitanya Godavari Gramin Bank and apply online with your Reg number and Rank details... No need of score card at present.

Usually almost all the aspirants will get similar marks Saimurthy. The written Exam's marks makes Big difference. May be your co aspirants who've attended the interview on that day might have got more written marks than you (I mean 167+). No need to be discouraged. Still we've plenty of options. Prepare well for Andhra Bank. And yea, 167 is good rank and you can get the call...

ReplyDeleteIts advisable to give equal priority to all the topics Divya. As you cant predict the paper, dont be careless in any area. Just divide your day Five parts and prepare accordingly. Maths and reasoning at early morning hours, General Awareness and Banking Awareness during day time.. Have a quick nap at noon and by 5 start preparing Computers... and at night prepare English... Ofcourse, this was my time table,... you can change this according to your convenience. All The Best.

For IBPS Clerks minimum knowledge of English unte saripotundi. Better buy any telugu - english grammar book and practice.
Daily atleast 10 New English words practice cheyyandi.

madam when i solve the practice set i get 30 marks in math reason, computer and ga. and english score only22 to 23. 140+ marks i get when i solve the exam mam it is sufficient?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all thank you so much for making proper use of our materials Pravin. In normal cases 140/200 will be a safe score. But, as you know the competition is lil high this time you should give your best in exams. Even a single mark is important for you. Hope you are getting what I mean.
DeleteAnd according to your scores, you should pay lil more attention in English Section. Try to make it 28 atleast.

ReplyDeleteTry to make the average calculation time as 45 mins Friend.
DeleteAnd its better to start with the easiest area. So that you will get some confident and try to complete that in less time. Try to solve Computers and GK sections in 20 mins. 10 mins per each section is sufficient for 40 marks as if you know the answer, you can mark.. if you dont know, you can leave... You cant get answer by keep on thinking for these areas.. So dont waste time.
Later you can spend another 20 mins for ENglish.
divide the remaining time according to your convenience for Apti and reasoning

ReplyDeleteThe validity of IBPS 1 score card will be expired by 20th December friend. After that only you can expect common interview. If all goes well, the interview will be scheduled on March.

ReplyDeleteThe interview format will be as same as the IBPS CWE friend. IBPS will call you for interview according to your rank, later they will make a final list by considering your marks of written and interview. With the help of that New list, banks will directly recruit you. And There is NO GD.

ReplyDeleteAs you can download your call letter from IBPS website, there is no problem at present Friend. The problem will be with the rank card. They will send you to the address given by you. So try managing your area's post man. They will ask you for the reason at the time of interview, then you can convince them.

ReplyDeleteUsually the cutoff will be decided by IBPS depends on the number of successful candidates Priyanka. The safe score would be 22 in each section.

Deletetime that is given in ibps clerk call letter (1:30 pm), is it reporting time or exam will start on that time???

one more thing i want to share that sbi associates (specialist officers) recently held, 8:30 am was in the call letter but actually exam started on 9:30am.....so i want to know that ibps also follow the same or not.
Already responded to your mail Pinaki Ghost. Its the time of reporting and your exam will start by 2 PM. But its advisable to be there by 1:30 pm as some invigilators may not allow you 15 mins late
