About Bharatiya Mahila Bank

Bhartiya Mahila Bank, apparently known as India's first women's bank headquartered in Delhi. Finance Minister announced about this all-women bank in budget speech this year. He mentioned that the bank will get initial capital of 1, 000 crore from the government. This bank is going to have 6 branches and is going to start its services from November 1st.

  1. Welcoming move of Indian Government

  2. :)
Very good,a post office and now a bank...
    India shining :p

  3. point to note Mahila Bank is going to start its services from November 1st, which is apparently the birth date of Aishwarya rai one of the power women in India and even world hats off.....

  4. In spite of all this hype and publicity I don't see any reason for GOI to announce and set up ALL WOMEN BANK.
In this hour when our finance min talks of merging banks to give rise to huge banks which can compete with big banks I don't see any need of ALL WOMEN BANK.
Is this according to any committee's suggestion?
Is this a move of GOI to woo literate female voter?
It is left to u to decide.

  5. And tag line of BMB is Empowering Women,Empowering India
