Failure Story - Jisha G. Nair

Dear friends, we have read many success stories so far. It is nice to read success stories of people and finally you will get the names of the books they referred,  coaching institutes they joined, gods they prayed, hours they prepared, pens and pencils they used etc... It will not help us unless and until we realize and evaluate ourselves (Why do we compare ourselves with some X or Y by the way ? we don't know their levels after all). We read their success stories and finally we end up saying.. dude, S/He is lucky...  So S/He got the job... Whats the reason behind this ? Because we don't know about their failures!!! We don't know how hard they tried for that success, how many sleepless nights they spent for that success...... Friends, behind every successful story there is an embarrassing failure.... which brings a struggle in mind, few sleepless nights and... finally.... the zeal to win...

The Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan has presented his second monetary policy review today (29th October 2013 - Tuesday). In it he raised the Repo Rate, at which the central bank lends to banks by 25 basis points (bps) to 7.75 percent to fight stubbornly high inflation (earlier it was 7.50% which was continuing since  20th September 2013). He also slashed the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rate by 0.25 to 8.75 percent. He left the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) and statutory liquidity ratios unchanged at 4 percent and 23 percents respectively. Many things have changed over the last six weeks after his first review. The most important is the rupee’s movement against the dollar. The currency has pulled back about 10 percent from its life low of 68.80 against the greenback. Just try to make a short story with the given names. In most of the times the names resembles some objects, animals, name of your friends etc. So according to them you can make a story. Ofcourse, it may sound stupid... but the more stupid the story is.. the more easier to remember it. Now lets have a look at this technique with an example. Addition Shortcuts (Mental Maths)

In this post, we will show you how to do Additions Mentally. Have a look at the Following Examples........
  • 342 + 557 + 629 + 746 + 825 = ?
    • When we are adding three-digit numbers, first add-two-digits at a time (Units and Tens Place).
    • 42 + 57 + 29 +| 46 + 25 = 199
    • To add 42 and 57, mentally treat 57 as 50 + 7 ( Because 50 would facilitate quick addition)
    • So, 42 + 57 = (42 + 50) + 7 = 92 + 7 = 99
    • Similarly, 99 + 29 = (99 + 20_ + 9 = 128
    • 128 + 46 = (128 + 40) + 6 = 174
    • 174 + 25 = (174 + 20) + 5 = 199
    • The last two digits (the units place and the tens place)
