Nobel Awards are the most prestigious intellectual awards in the world. These awards were established by Alfred Nobel, a Swedish chemist in the year 1901.. He was the creator of Dynamite. He thought it would end all wars but it proved to be the deadliest product and people started calling him "The Merchant of Death". He felt very bad for that and created a will that soon shocked his relatives and established the now famous Nobel Prizes. On the fifth anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, December 10, 1901, the first set of Nobel Prizes were awarded. Initially the prizes were given for the areas Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, and Peace. Later in the year 1968 they have started giving the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.

Nobel prize in Physiology or Medicine 2013 Winners : 

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine is awarded annually by the Swedish Karolinska Institute to scientists and doctors in the various fields of physiology or medicine. This award was awarded jointly to Americans James Rothman (Yale), and Randy Schekman (University of California) and German-born Thomas Sudhof (Stanford University) for the year 2013.

Nobel prize in Physics 2013 Winners :

The Nobel Prize in Physics is awarded annually by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to scientists in the various fields of physics.  The Nobel Prize in Physics 2013 was awarded jointly to Francois Englert (Belgium) and Peter W. Higgs (Britain).

Nobel prize in Chemistry 2013 Winners :

The Nobel Prize in chemistry is awarded annually by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to scientists in the various fields of chemistry. The Nobel prize in chemistry for the year 2013 was jointly awarded to Martin Karplus (Harvard University), Michael Levitt (Stanford School of Medicine) and Arieh Warshel (University of Southern California).

The Nobel Prize in Literature is awarded annually by the Swedish Academy to authors for outstanding contributions in the field of literature. Alice Munro (Canada) won the Nobel Prize for Literature for the year 2013.

Nobel Peace Prize 2013 Winner :

The Norwegian Nobel Committee each year awards the Nobel Peace Prize "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses." Nobel Peace Prize for 2013 is to be awarded to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

Nobel prize in Economic Sciences 2013 Winner : 

The Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, officially known as The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, is awarded annually by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to researchers in the field of economics. Eugene F. Fama (USA), Lars Peter Hansen (USA) and Robert J. Shiller (USA) jointly won this award for the year 2013.
