Reviews of Today's (30th November 2013) IBPS Clerks Online Exam 2013 - Morning Shift

Hai friends. This is Bhavya. V.  I have attended today's (30-11-2013) IBPS Clerks Online Exam. Paper is very easy I must say (may be I was expecting something similar to IBPS PO's paper). I could attempt only 147 questions and one of my friends attempted 173 questions. Ofcourse, this happend due to my negligence. I prepared alot for IPBS PO III Exam but I couldn't make it due to the difficult and unexpected paper pattern. So I was expecting the same for IBPS Clerks too. I was like, "this time also they will twist the paper, so its no use of struggling much". But to my surprise almost all are direct questions. No twisted questions at all. Overall paper was cool and scoring.

Friends, we have already discussed about the introduction of Printers. You can read that post from here. In this post we shall discuss about dot matrix printers or DMPs. A Dot Matrix Printer is the most popular printer used for personal computers (PCs). In this type of printers, each character is formed from a set of dots in a rectangular matrix. DMP uses impact technology. The print head contains a physical array of pins. Properties of Perfect Squares

Friends, we have already posted 3 shortcut techniques for finding Squares. In this post we shall discuss some basic properties of Perfect Squares.
  1. A number ending in 2, 3, 7 or 8 is never a perfect square. or all the square numbers end with 0, 1, 4, 5, 6 or 9 at units place. We can verify this statement by observing the squares table here
    • Note : The converse of the above statement is not true. i.e., if a number ends in 0, 1, 4, 5, 6 or 9, then it is not necessarily a square number. For example, 170, 251, 3584, etc are not Square numbers, though these end with 0, 1, 4.

Friends, in our last post we have discussed about Multiprogramming. That means one CPU handling different programs according to its convenience. We call it as interleaved execution. That means the CPU acts according to its free time. There is NO parallel processing. But what if we want to execute two or more programs at the same time ? Which you can't do with a single CPU ? Multiprogramming - A Detailed Explanation

Before going to discuss about Multiprogramming, lets have a look on how a Computer Works. In simple terms when you run a program, the Input devices takes the data and gives it to CPU. CPU works with that data and gives the output to output devices. Finally the Output devices gives us the output. This is the process. Our computer works better if there is synchronization between the input / output devices and CPU. What if the CPU performs faster than the I/O devices ? Confused ? Well, The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is very fast, but the input / output (I/O) devices are slow when compared to CPU. Multiprogramming is a technique developed to minimize the effect of this mismatch between CPU and I/O devices so that the CPU time is more efficiently used.

You can download your Admit Card / Call Letter from below link by entering your Registration Number and Date of Birth / Password.

Here another important thing to note is, almost nobody got the same exam center as they have applied for. As the IBPS is conducting online exam it has to check so many issues (like system arrangements and internet connection etc)... and the number of candidates who have applied are also very high this time. So its not possible for IBPS to allot the selected centers by candidates. Many of our friends got centers from far and unknown areas. So the candidates better visit the exam center once before the date of exam so that they can avoid the last minute rush and missing the exam due to the lack of knowledge by estimate the time of the journey. All the Best :)
