The Kanha tiger reserve, spread over Mandla and Balaghat districts, is the only place in the world where the species exists.  Bhoorsingh was chosen among four variations by the Madhya Pradesh forest department.

"Kanha is famous for its tigers and Barasingha. Goods and Services Tax (GST) : Important Details you should know

The Lok Sabha has passed all four bills related to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) introduced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The four bills are the Central GST Bill, the Integrated GST Bill, the GST Compensation Bill and the UT-GST Bill. The GST will aid free flow of goods and services across India and make goods cheaper, Jaitley said.

About These 4 Bills :
  • Central GST Bill : This bill provides for the collection of tax on sale of goods and services by the Centre within a state.
  • Integrated GST Bill : This bill pertains to the levy of taxes on sale between states.
  • GST Compensation Bill : This bill provides for compensation to the states over any revenue loss.
  • UT-GST Bill :  This bill is about GST implementation in Union Territories.

Important Points to Note (GST Bill Highlights) :

  • The Goods and Services (GST) is an indirect taxation wherein most of the existing taxes will be merged into a single taxation system.
  • Once the GST Bill is passed, it will allow the Centre and the states to levy indirect tax on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods and services across the country.
  • In simple words, the Goods and Services Tax would put all taxes levied by state and Central government in one basket and merge them into a single-tax system, thus doing away with multiple taxation and promoting the concept of a common market for all.
  • The Goods and Services Tax is governed by the GST Council which is headed by the Finance Minister. In Arun Jaitley's words, "once all other taxes are removed, the cascading effect is removed, goods will become slightly cheaper".
  • The biggest challenge for a smooth GST rollout is coordination between states and the Centre to ensure uniform tax rates for good and services.
  • To this effect, the GST Council has approved a four-tier uniform tax slab of 5, 12, 18 and 28 per cent on goods and services, plus an additional cess on demerit goods such as luxury cars, aerated drinks and tobacco products.
  • Food items will not attract any tax and have been kept in the zero-per cent slab. Similarly, petroleum products, although included under the GST, will remain in zero tax slab as of now. However, the GST Council is yet to take a call on whether to keep alcohol under the Goods and Services Tax.
  • With the Goods and Services Tax coming in, Centre-level taxes likes Sales Tax, Excise Duty, and state-level taxes like Value-added Tax (VAT), Entertainment Tax and Luxury Tax will be subsumed.
  • On Wednesday, among the four supplemtary GST bills passed in Lok Sabha was the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Bill. The CGST Bill will allow the Central government to levy and collect tax on intra-state supply of goods and services.
  • The Integrated Goods and Services Tax Bill 2017 provides for levy and collection of tax on inter-state supply.
  • The Compensation GST Bill will provide compensation to states for the loss of revenue they may incur owing to implementation of the Goods and Services Tax.
  • Clarifying on the clause, Arun Jaitley told the House that no additional tax will be imposed to provide compensation to states, and states will be paid compensation within the existing mechanism.
  • The other bill passed in Lok Sabha pertained to Union Territory Goods and Services Tax. The bill will enable levy and collection of tax on intra-state supply of goods and services or both by union territories.

Tips to prepare for Quantitative Aptitude Test

Start from the basics : There is no set syllabus that you can strictly follow, in general. But if a particular test appraises you of the topics included, then stick to that. Otherwise go back to the basics of Mathematics, however easy you may think it to be. Follow your academic syllabus so that you can cover all major topics.

Concentrate on fundamentals : The basic concepts of the topics involved should be absolutely clear. Take guidance from your teacher or friend if you get stuck on a particular topic. Do not leave any topic, even if it seems relatively unimportant, as questions can be asked from anywhere. Revise the concepts as and when possible.

e-Waste Digital Dark Side

Overview
  • What is e-waste ?
  • e-Waste having different metals releases toxins.
  • Need of environment-friendly techniques to extract harmful materials.
  • Method of recycling should be adopted.
  • Need of scientific techniques for waste disposal.
  • Awareness of the hazardous side of e-waste should be created.
  • Only collective effort of all can handle the problem.
We are living in a world driven by technology and the technology is evolving at a rapid pace. The mobiles have given way to smartphones, television has given way to LED and LCD and desktops have given way to laptops and tablets. The moment, a new model of a product is launched in the market, the previous one becomes obsolete. Most of the time, the obsolete stuff is discarded as a waste product. These unwanted, non-working or obsolete electronic products which have reached the end of their shelf life are known as e-waste. These include the discarded electronic products such as computers, mobiles, televisions, washing machines, refrigerators etc to name a few.

The developed countries produce millions of tonnes of e-waste every year. Even worse, the e-waste from the developed countries such as the US, Japan is being illegally transported and dumped in the developing countries such as China, Malaysia, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, and India. The costs of treatment of e-waste are high in the developed countries. It is the relatively low cost of shipment that prompts the transportation of the waste from the developed to the developing countries.

Name - MD.Intshamuddin

Qualification - MCA

From - Begusarai (Bihar)

Selected in - RRB officer scale 1 Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank

Dear friends,

It’s a long post as it’s really a long journey with lots of Ups and Downs, please don’t use harsh language in comments section for long post.

I started writing exams when I was doing my MCA from NIT Jamshedpur but I was not at all serious and was not preparing for exams with a proper strategy. There was a reason for not being serious as I got placed through on-campus and joined Infosys 4.6 years back. Things were going fine and in the mean time I met a girl during my training period in Infosys and became really close which was a biggest mistake of my life, I forgot everything about my career being in a relationship with her but after spending a whopping 2.5 years I came to know that this relationship is not going anywhere and I stopped talking to her completely and blocked her everywhere. It was really a difficult task for me to come out of that situation which took me around 3-4 months .Then my serious preparation started in Apr 2015, I started following gr8ambitionz daily, bought olive board mock tests unfortunately missed many exams by 0.25-2.5 marks range but I never lost hope, deep down I was knowing I am not at the bottom, I am in the zone which used to encourage me to continue my preparation. It’s never easy to prepare for any exams while working in a private/IT company but I had set my goal that I have to do something in life then I have to get a govt. job, working in IT sector was temporary for me as I was not enjoying my life.
