The Sun, while going on his daily rounds saw a princess and fell in love with her. Whenever he could slip away from the heavens he would take human form and go down to the princess to spend some time with her. The princess too became quite fond of him and would wait for him to come. One day the Sun decided to send her a blood-red ruby as a token of his love for her. He put the gem in a silk bag, and calling a crow that was flying past, asked the bird to deliver the gem to his beloved. Crows had milky white feathers in those days and it was considered auspicious if a crow came anywhere near you. So the Sun was pleased that he had found a crow to deliver the gem. As the crow sped through the sky with the silken bag, the aroma of food lured him. Looking down the crow saw that a wedding feast was in progress, and immediately it was distracted from its mission. Food was one thing it could never resist !

In this post, we shall discuss about the basics Data Interpretation. The Data Interpretation is also called as comprehension of mathematics. Because, in reading comprehension, we have to study the passage and answer the questions followed by that passage. In the same way, in Data Interpretation, some data is given in the form of graphs, charts and tables followed by questions. We have to study, understand and analyze the data to solve the questions. Here we have to keep in mind that, even a 10th standard boy can solve these problems. But you've to solve these problems IN TIME.
So you have to practice well so that you can do the small calculations (like additions, subtractions, and simple multiplications) with a glance (see here for shortcuts in mental maths). Now lets have a look at some basic details of Data Interpretations.

The Sub Divided / Component bar diagrams are used to represent data in which the total magnitude (bar) is divided into different parts or components. In these type of diagrams, first they make simple bars for each class taking total magnitude in that class and then divide these simple bars into parts in the ratio of various components. With an example we shall try to understand the Concept.
Assume that you have to give the data of the production of vehicles of 3 companies (name them P, Q and R) over the years 1994 to 2000.

A sobbing little girl stood near a small school from which she had been turned away because it ‘was too crowded’. “I can’t go to School,” she sobbed to a priest as he walked by Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the priest guessed the reason and taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the school class. The child was so touched that she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to study.

Attention Friends... we've came to know that this method is not working for some numbers... So presently we are working on more efficient method than this... We advise you to avoid this method....
Lets start with an example. Assume that you should find out the cube of 18. The general process is multiplying 18 to itself for 2 times (18 x 18 x 18). This process is time consuming and often people end up with the wrong answer caused by confusion and hurry.
Ok, now lets use our method. here you should use the formula (a+b)3
= a3 +b3+
3a2b +3ab2. But here you should be little tricky. Have a look.........
