The Italian Open tennis tournament for the year 2019 was recently held during 13th to 19th May 2019 at the Foro Italico in Rome, Italy. It is the 76th edition of the Italian open. World number two Rafael Nadal has won the Men's singles title for the 9th time by defeating world number one Novak Djokovic. Nadal also broke a tie with Djokovic by claiming a record 34th ATP Masters 1000 title. For his victory, Nadal received 1,000 ATP Ranking points and earned ₹7.5 crore. Czech tennis player Karolina Pliskova won the Women's Singles title by defeating Johanna Konta. The win will take her to the world number two ranking.
