Usha Ananthasubramanian is the First CEO of Bhartiya Mahila Bank (All-Women Bank)

The Finance minister P. Chidambaram has identified that Usha Ananthasubramanian to be the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) for Bhartiya Mahila Bank, The first Women's Bank of India. So she will be the first CEO of India's All Women Bank. Mrs Usha is presently working as the Executive Director of Punjab National Bank Once the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) confirms the license to start all- woman bank, the government will officially announce the name of the CEO.

About Bharatiya Mahila Bank

 

Bhartiya Mahila Bank, apparently known as India's first women's bank headquartered in Delhi. Finance Minister announced about this all-women bank in budget speech this year. He mentioned that the bank will get initial capital of 1, 000 crore from the government. This bank is going to have 6 branches and is going to start its services from November 1st.

  3. point to note Mahila Bank is going to start its services from November 1st, which is apparently the birth date of Aishwarya rai one of the power women in India and even world hats off.....

  4. In spite of all this hype and publicity I don't see any reason for GOI to announce and set up ALL WOMEN BANK.
    In this hour when our finance min talks of merging banks to give rise to huge banks which can compete with big banks I don't see any need of ALL WOMEN BANK.
    Is this according to any committee's suggestion?
    No.
    Is this a move of GOI to woo literate female voter?
    It is left to u to decide.
