Hello, my name is Ankul Pandey. I'm from Surat, Gujarat. I got selected in SBI clerk 2020. I used to read so many success stories from Gr8AmbitionZ, but never thought to share mine here. I'm very happy now. I'm going to share my success story with my fellow Gr8AmbitionZ banking aspirants.

I graduated B.E. with electrical engineering from Pacific School of Engineering, Surat in 2017. After the graduation I started my preparation with self study, as I thought that I can clear it on my own. But things not got well.

I appeared for IBPS clerk 2017, but could not qualify even prelims.

In 2018, I started again with the basics and appeared for SBI Clerk & IBPS po but couldn't qualify even prelims because of not giving mocks.

In 2019, I analysed my past 1 and half year, found that using much internet and social media frequently leads to my failure in all 3 exams & now I didn't want to make any strategy on my own. So I decided to join coaching class. In Feb 2019, I joined Mahendra coaching class & attend each and every class,
understood every topics, methods, tricks for 3 months. I used the strategies and planning that my mentors told me to do.
I appeared exams in 2019 that are followed-

  • FCI - pre cleared, not mains
  • SBI PO - not prelims clear
  • SBI Clerk - pre cleared, not mains
  • IBPS PO - pre cleared, not mains
  • IBPS Clerk - pre cleared, not mains
  • IBPS RRB PO - pre cleared, not mains
  • IBPS RRB Clerk - pre cleared, not mains
  • LIC Assistant - pre cleared, not mains
  • EPFO Assistant- not pre clear
  • LIC HFL - not pre clear

I was very depressed. Because I prepared for 7 months but could not qualify any mains exam.

In 2020, started again by giving prelims mocks & read newspaper daily. I appeared for RBI assistant - failed by 2 marks in prelims
I also appeared for SBI clerk this year and finally I cleared.

My Strategy

GA- I followed Ashish Gautam (Adda247) and gktoday daily. I revised from both of these at the end of week i.e., on Sunday. I followed Studyiq of at last 10 days before mains. Gr8AmbitionZ is also very good.
How - I Attended Ashish Gautam's YouTube class daily (sincerely) and make notes of only those options other than the correct answer.
Note- Read 4 months current affairs of each and every single news in the last revision before mains. In bank clerk exam, last 4 months ca are being asked.

English- Read the Hindu newspaper PDF daily. Initial you will find it boring as I was also weak in English but daily reading & consistent leads you to get excellent marks in English. I love to read this newspaper but you can read any newspaper as you like.

Quant-
For pre and mains both-
          Daily   Simplification -20
          Daily  Approximation -20
          Daily  Quadratic equations -20
          Daily   Number series -20
          Daily   Di - 5 set
                   and daily 1 mock

Practice daily, never miss any day, if you think today that you cannot solve today or you are too much tired of practice then you can practice minimum 10 questions of each above given topic.

Arithmetic in the last 10-15 days before prelims & mains.

Reasoning-
For pre- daily 7 puzzle & 7 seating arrangement and daily 1 mock.

For Mains- I watched 1 each video of coding decoding & distance direction in day 1 and similarly 1 each video of blood relation & in-output on next day(2). 10-12 videos of Alphanumeric series in last 10 days before mains only, because it is easy.
For mains puzzle, Everyone scares of that including me, bt I managed to solve only 3-4 puzzles in a week.

Note- Prepare all the 4 subjects daily, and be consistent on your study.

-To clear prelims, it hardly takes 30 days and I assure you it will not take more than 30 days if you practice daily. But it is important to note that, if you do not practice daily it will take more than 2 months to clear prelims.

To clear mains, it takes 45 days to prepare. But for the last 30 days before mains you must attempt 1 mock on an alternate days.

Advise to apirants - Stress does not help you. Fear pulls you back. I realised soon enough that not everything in life can be controlled & I never be afraid of failures just keep trying and feel free. So I would like to advise all the candidates to keep calm and confident and must prepare well and focus on their studies. Besides studies, candidates should eat healthy and sleep well. They should believe in their preparation and do the best. And this is the exact message I want to leave aspirants with wishing them the best of luck.
