- Unpersuasive - not good at making people agree to do or believe what you want them to
- Elevating - to give someone a higher or more important position
- Flawed - not perfect, or containing mistakes

- Mounting - increasing, especially in a way that makes a situation worse

- Barrel - a unit for measuring crude oil
- Crown Prince - a prince who will become king after the present king or queen dies
- Ambitious - an ambitious plan, aim, or attempt is difficult and will need a lot of effort to succeed
- Socioeconomic - involving a combination of social and economic matters
- Reform - a change that is intended to correct a situation that is wrong or unfair, or make a system work more effectively
- Tough talk - to speak in a way that makes other people fear you
- Significant - very large or noticeable
- Softening - (finance, stockmarket) that has stopped increasing or that is falling
- Shale - a type of smooth dark rock that breaks into thin layers

- Bulwark - something that protects you from dangerous or unpleasant situations
- Volatility - liability to change rapidly and unpredictably, especially for the worse
