  • Inflation - an economic process in which prices increase so that money becomes less valuable
  • Conundrum - a difficult problem that seems to have no solution
  • Retail - relating to the sale of goods directly to the public for their own use
  • Dilemma - a situation in which you have to make a difficult decision
  • Consumer - someone who buys and uses goods and services
  • Decelerated - to happen or make something happen more slowly
  • Understandably - clear and easy to understand

  • Urge -  to advise someone very strongly about what action or attitude they should take
  • Reboot - to start something again or do something again
  • Rationale - the set of reasons that something such as a plan or belief is based on

  • Spur - to encourage an activity or development or make it happen faster
  • Evident - easy to see, notice, or understand
  • Concern - a feeling of worry about something, especially one that a lot of people have about an important issue
  • Deflationary - causing prices and the level of economic activity to become lower or to stop increasing
  • Relying - depending
  • Forecasting - to make a statement about what is likely to happen, usually relating to the weather, business, or the economy
  • Exhort - to strongly encourage or try to persuade someone to do something
  • Bimonthly - happening or produced twice a month or every two months
  • Panel - a group of people who make decisions or judgments
  • Deputy - someone whose job is the second most important in a department or organization, and who takes the responsibilities of the most important person in some situations

  • Stellar - extremely good / high standard
  • Feat - something impressive and often dangerous that someone does
  • Torch-bearer - a person who leads or inspires others in working towards a valued goal
  • Stature -  the amount of public respect or popularity that someone or something has
  • Aplomb - a confident relaxed manner when dealing with a difficult situation
  • Shepherd - to make a group of people move to where you want them to go (to control)
  • Colossus - someone or something that is very large or impressive
  • Consistency - the ability to remain the same in behaviour, attitudes, or qualities
  • Ally - someone who is ready to help you
  • Inevitable - impossible to avoid or prevent
  • Agony - a strong and unpleasant feeling, especially great worry or sadness
  • Squad - team
  • Vigour - mental energy, enthusiasm, and determination
  • Snatch - to quickly take the opportunity to do something
  • Chunk - a large amount or part of something
  • Spine - the determination and strong personality that you need in order to do what is right or to deal with a dangerous or difficult situation
  • Respectively - used for saying that something happens separately to each of the people or things mentioned in the order in which they were mentioned
  • Occurrence - something that happens, especially something unexpected and unpleasant
  • Exploit -  to use a situation so that you get benefit from it
  • Patriarchy - a society, system, or organization in which men have all or most of the power and influence
  • Yearn - to want something a lot, especially something that you know you may not be able to have
  • Belatedly - late or too late
  • Adequate - good enough or large enough for a particular purpose
  • Debut - the first time that a performer or sports player appears in public
  • Eloquent - expressing what you mean using clear and effective language
  • Spokesperson - someone whose job is to officially represent an organization, for example in dealing with journalists
  • Prejudice - an unreasonable opinion or feeling, especially the feeling of not liking a particular group of people
  • Stereotype - a set idea that people have about what someone or something is like, especially an idea that is wrong
  • Swung - to move
  • Gender equity - the act of treating women and men equally
  • Snub - to insult someone by ignoring them or being rude to them
  • Riposte - a quick and clever remark, often made in answer to a criticism
  • Terse - a terse statement or remark is very short and often shows that the person making it is annoyed
