On the eve of 67th Republic Day, the Indian government has announced the names of Eminent personalities from across the fields of sports, entertainment and public service, who are going to be honored with Padma Awards (Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri) for the year 2016.

Film Actor Rajinikanth, founder of the Reliance empire late Dhirubhai Ambani, Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and media baron Ramoji Rao (Eenadu) have been chosen for Padma Vibhushan [India's second highest civilian award].
