I have given my SBI PO exam today and want to share my reviews.
Reasoning section was moderate. 15 marks question from Seating arrangement and puzzles. 5-7 marks from Syllogism. 5 from Data Sufficiency and 5 from Input Output.
I have attempted 26 questions only as I got strucked in Puzzles and seating arrangement
Data Interpretation was difficult and time consuming. I could only manage 17 questions in 45 mins. Fetching correct data from bar charts were tough.
English was a relief. I have attempted it second. Though I have skipped passage I still managed 29 questions.
General Awareness was not that easy. Not much questions from Computer and found Marketing Section difficult even after practicing a lot in Marketing. I have attempted 32 ques from this section.
Some questions asked in this exam were :
- Amul's new plant
- Related to Cannes
- RTGS settlement time
- Related to Certificate of Deposits.
I have attempted 104 question with 90% accuracy and just hoping for the best. :)

Hi Friends, I appeared for the SBI PO exam today, in the afternoon batch and would like to share my experience.
As mentioned in the earlier reviews the DI section was the toughest one. The difficulty level was thrice compared to what I have been practicing since months. Reasoning was second most tough section. Rest 2 sections had a moderate level of difficulty.
I had planned to attempt at least 30 questions from each section, considering my preparation. Hence I allocated specific time for each section :

I found the circular arrangements questions from reasoning tough enough to skip them(The persons in the problem were facing in either towards the centre or away from centre. I never seen such question before. May be, due to my lack of proper preparation :( ).
The descriptive section was easy. One can attempt all the questions with ease, if he/she does not gets carried away in writing lengthy answers.The descriptive section contained (as far I remember):
**Letter
To friend mentioning that his son is wasting lot of time in electronic gadgets and impressing on the importance of reading books and outdoor games.
**Short topic(around 130 words)
You are what you think you are
Are reality shows indeed real ?
**Reading comprehension (very basic questions were asked)
**Précis Writing
Something about investments
**Essay
What if you become BANKING in charge minister ?
I would suggest all, who are yet to appear for this exam, to focus on DI and practice hard to solve the problems with accuracy within the time bounds. Because I think DI would be the most important decisive factor.

Deleteya u r right but if we mark the answer and then clicking 'mark for review & next' button it can be evaluated for final evaluation.... It is mentioned in the Acquaint yourself booklet in 10th page last point....

DeleteSee in DI whatever in books are easy but there DI comes very difficult as I was practicing on DI from long but then also answer was not matching with option , linegraph was not clear that the line is going on which no....you can just practice nothing else you can do and try Difficult DI

tip DO only those di questions first which have less diagrams and complications avoid seating arrangement avoid long passage questions attempt small questions of passages .

ReplyDeleteEnglish...quite easy you can easily attemp upto 40//so go for it as other sections are not that scoreble..
GK - moderate..not to easy not to tough..good GK person can attempt easily 35..but like me 28 would be enough...
DI- just go for 15 accurate answers for this section take 40 mins to do so..as the questions are lengthy...
Reasoning... i would suggest just leave arrangement queastions for last..as i was nt able to get answers and they were tricky and bit confussing....go for other things as they are easy and then at last if you have time go for seating arangement..
ALL D BEST brodas and there sis.... :p ;) :)

Total-113 attempted out of which 100 might be accurate..hoping for the best for u all too..thnks GR8ambition it helped me a lot in PO exam...keep it up

I only attempt 92 . ratio of attempt was unbalanced. GA 45 , English 13, math 7, reasoning 27 in evening. With 95 %accuracy. I lost my hope of get interview.
ReplyDeletedon't give up dude and hope for the best..this year sbi po xam according to me is the toughest and i think expected marks for getting interview call may be around 130 for genral category but it totally depend upon the performance of other candidate as well
DeletePaper was not at all easy.. Its completely luck.. By seeing the reviews of last week's exam i thought i would be able to attend GA/Marketing/Computer and English section within 35-40 mins that also with good score.. But after seeing the questions of GA..which seems that more than 50 % was from Banking, i could not do even 35 questions from that section..even after wasting 25 mins on this section only.. Den i moved on to DI..Regarding DI .. Questions were easy but yes as all said , it was very time consuming.. I lost almost 50mins and was able to collect only 15 from there..Then i went to reasoning..Since i didn't had much time..I skipped those questions which were too long to study..after giving 25 mins in that section, i could only attempt 18 from that section..and atlast i had only 10 mins for English..in which i wasted 5 mins in reading and answering the first passage..and then i just rushed with the questions in last 10 mins could only gain 15 marks..What i answered is 100% accurate..
ReplyDeleteSuggestion : Please go through the questions of DI once..before answering..there were many which will not even take a min to answer..I failed to do that..coz i got tensed by seeing that i almost spend 25 mins for the first graph..My time management was not proper.. But fine enough..Since i prepared for just last 1 week..I cant expect much from myself..I knw i will not clear the overall cutoff..So, better luck next time for me..
If u knw lil bit of proper english then u can easily score 35 in descriptive..Damm easy that portion was..But hw does that matter..if u dont clear objective..descriptive has no value..

Dont go as per review..if u will do so then u may face problm like me..Just prepare as much as u can.. Its ur hard work which will fetch u marks..if ur good luck will support u with the questions..
same here.......students with science background can hardly answer any question in GA section except that computer questions....i will cross section cutt off but overall almost impossible if its 55 or above

ReplyDeleteDont worry..Have patient..Dont look at other that they attempted 116 or 130 or something more that 100.. What which actually matters is accuracy rate.. right ?? iif u have done 95 questions accurately..as campared to others without accuracy..there are chances of urs being secelected..Wait for the result..22nd evening paper was really tough as compared to others..as i heard the type of my frnds faced and compared them with myself's..my friends themselves said that urs one was really tough..so chillax.. getting intrview call is completely ur luck..

If u have marked the answer and then clicked marked for review and moved to next question..it will not be shown in answered portion but that will be checked and marked..and will be included in ur total marks.. Mark for review wont be calculated if..u have not marked the answers for that question and clicked marked for review and moved forward..So dont worry..U will get those marks..

you have gd chances as your accuracy is gd that means you would secure 95 marks in objective paper and after adding descriptive paper marks i think you will get call for interview
