Note : The Field Marshal rank is mostly honorary. It does not currently exist in the army organizational structure. Two officers were conferred with this rank, are late Field Marshal Manekshaw and the late Field Marshal Kodandera Madappa Cariappa.

ReplyDeleteCorrection-The ranks Pilot Officer, Acting Sub Lieutenant and Second Lieutenant has not been in use since long.
Note-Marshal of Indian Air Force rank was bestowed upon Marshal of Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, Padma Vibhusan, DFC in 2002. He is the only living five star officer.

ReplyDeleteit is general knowledge, which you should know... General Knowledge doesn't have a particular syllabus. so kindly acquire as much knowledge as you can. Don't ask silly questions.
