The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 Notification (Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2025-26/06) for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. This is one of the most awaited banking exams for aspirants across India.

📌 SBI Clerk 2025 Vacancies

SBI has announced 5,180 vacancies (regular + backlog) across different states and union territories.
A candidate can apply for only one State/UT and must be proficient in the local language of that State/UT.

  • Maharashtra (Including Mumbai Metro) – 476
  • Tamil Nadu – 380
  • Gujarat – 220
  • Chhattisgarh – 220
  • Karnataka – 270

🎯 SBI Clerk 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01.04.2025)

  • Minimum: 20 years
  • Maximum: 28 years
  • Born between 02.04.1997 and 01.04.2005 (both dates inclusive)
  • ✅ Age relaxation available for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and widows/divorced women.

Educational Qualification (as on 31.12.2025)

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.
  • Final year students can apply, provided they produce proof of graduation by 31 December 2025.
  • Ex-servicemen with required certificates are also eligible.

📝 SBI Clerk 2025 Selection Process

The recruitment process has three phases:

Phase I – Preliminary Exam

  • Online test of 100 marks, duration: 1 hour
  • Sections:
    1. English Language – 30 Qs, 20 min
    2. Numerical Ability – 35 Qs, 20 min
    3. Reasoning Ability – 35 Qs, 20 min
  • Negative marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong answer

Phase II – Main Exam

  • Online test of 200 marks, duration: 2 hours 40 min
  • Sections:
    1. General/Financial Awareness – 50 Qs, 35 min
    2. General English – 40 Qs, 35 min
    3. Quantitative Aptitude – 50 Qs, 45 min
    4. Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude – 50 Qs, 45 min

Phase III – Local Language Test

Candidates who have not studied the opted local language in Class 10/12 will have to appear for this test after the Main Exam.

Note: Marks of the Preliminary Exam are not counted in the final selection. The Main Exam score + language test determine final selection.

  • English Language – Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Detection, Vocabulary, Sentence Rearrangement
  • Numerical Ability – Simplification, Data Interpretation, Number Series, Arithmetic (Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Speed & Distance, etc.)
  • Reasoning Ability – Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Inequality, Coding-Decoding

  • Basic Pay: ₹26,730 (including two advance increments for graduates)
  • Gross Monthly Salary (Approx.): ₹46,000 (in Mumbai; varies by posting location)

SBI Clerks (Junior Associates) 2020 Prelims Results & Mains Call Letters released

Friends, the State Bank of India (SBI) has released the Results and Marks of SBI (Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales / Clerks) Preliminary (Phase I) Online Exam. You can check your SBI Clerks Prelims 2020 result from below link or from the official website of the State Bank of India www.sbi.co.in by entering your Registration Number / Roll Number and Password / Date of Birth. The bank has also released main exam call letters for the selected candidates. The SBI Clerks Main Exam is scheduled to be held on 31st October 2020. You can download your call letter from below link.
