- Barrier - anything that prevents progress or makes it difficult for someone to achieve something
- Orderly - well-behaved, or well-controlled
- Facilitate - to make it possible or easier for something to happen
- Albeit - used for introducing a comment that slightly changes or reduces the effect of what you said before it
- Stealth - a quiet and secret way of behaving so that no one sees or hears you
- Blockade - an action that is intended to prevent people or goods from moving from one place to another
- Menstruate - if a woman menstruates, she has a flow of blood from her womb, usually once a month
- Shrine - a religious place built to remember a particular holy person or event
- Upsurge - a sudden increase in something
- Protest - a strong complaint or disagreement
- Uphold - if a court of law upholds something such as a claim, it says that it is correct
- Elaborate - very detailed and complicated
- Foothills - the low hills next to a high mountain or group of high mountains
- Orchestrate - to plan and organize a complicated event or course of action, especially without being noticed, so that it achieves the result you want
- Protest - a strong complaint or disagreement
- Tragically - causing or involving great sadness, because someone suffers or dies
- In the face of something - in a situation where you have to deal with something unpleasant or difficult
- Covert - hidden or secret
- Ops - the organization of planned activities involving a lot of people, especially military activities
- Sustainable - capable of continuing for a long time at the same level
- Dilemma - a situation in which you have to make a difficult decision
- Keep the peace - to avoid or prevent noisy or violent behaviour in public
- Cynical - someone who is cynical believes that people care only about themselves and are not sincere or honest
- Exploit - to treat someone unfairly in order to get some benefit for yourself
- Intent - the intention to do something
- Alter - to make something or someone different
- Controversy - a disagreement, especially about a public policy or a moral issue that a lot of people have strong feelings about
- Sanctum sanctorum - the part of a building or organization where few people are allowed to go, especially where the most important or secret work is done
- Ritual - a formal ceremony
- Invoke - to use a law or rule in order to achieve something
- Regressive - supporting methods and ideas that existed in the past
- Defilement - to spoil something or someone so that that thing or person is less beautiful or pure
- Desecration - to deliberately spoil something special or holy
- Priest - someone whose job is to lead worship and perform other duties and ceremonies in churches and temples
- Violate - to do something that is in opposition to a law, agreement, principle etc
- Perhaps - used for saying that you are not certain about something, or that something may or may not be true
- Inevitably - used for saying that something is certain to happen
- Exclusion - a situation in which someone is deliberately prevented from being involved in an activity or from entering a place
- Meanwhile - at the same time
- Passion - a state of being affected by a powerful emotion, especially anger
- Escalate - to become much worse or more serious, or to make something do this
- Conflict - angry disagreement between people or groups
- Mission - a flight into space
- Relay - to communicate information, news, or a message to someone
- Close-up - a photograph taken from a short distance that gives a very detailed picture
- Payload - the equipment or people in a space vehicle
- Collaboration - the process of working with someone to produce something
- Respectively - used for saying that something happens separately to each of the people or things mentioned in the order in which they were mentioned
- Pave the way - to create a situation that makes it possible or easier for something to happen
- Next door - very close
- Evolution - the scientific theory according to which types of plant and animal change gradually over long periods of time through a process known as natural selection to become more suitable for their environment
- Exoplanet - a planet which is outside the Earth’s solar system
- Meteorite - a piece of rock that has fallen from space and landed on the ground
- Collision - an accident in which a person or vehicle that is moving crashes into something
- Bombard - to attack someone or something by hitting them with a lot of objects or by hitting them many times
- Gush - if a liquid gushes, it flows quickly and in large quantities
- Impact - an effect, or an influence
- Erasure - fact of erasing
- Crater - the round hole at the top of a volcano
- Dichotomy - a difference between two opposite things or ideas
- Emanat - to come from a particular place
- Astronomer - someone who studies the stars and planets using scientific equipment including telescopes
- Accurate - in a way that is correct or true in every detail
- Interpret - to understand an action, situation etc in a particular way
- On the other hand - used for giving two different opinions about something
- Haven - a place where people or animals can feel safe and happy
- Big Bang - an explosion that some scientists believe happened 15 billion years ago and caused the universe to begin to exist
- Former - used for describing someone or something that had a particular job, title, status etc in the past, but not now
- Beyond - further away than something else
- Herald - a sign that something is going to happen soon
- Exploration - a journey to a place to learn about it or to search for something valuable
