First Look of RBI's new Chocolate Brown Ten Rupee Note (Important Features)

Friends, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the design of it's new Chacolate Brown Rs. 10 note. The new note will have the same height of 63mm as the current ten rupee note but the width will be 123mm - slightly lesser than the 137mm width of the existing note.

This new note will carry a motif of the Konark Sun Temple instead of the existing image of fauna of India - rhinoceros, elephant and tiger.

Here are the features that will be seen on the new Rs 10 note :

  • Denominational numeral '10' written in Devnagari
  • Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the centre
  • Micro letters 'RBI', 'INDIA', and '10', along with 'Bharat' in Devnagari
  • Windowed demetalised security thread with inscriptions 'Bharat' in Devnagari and RBI
  • Guarantee Clause, signature of RBI Governor Urjit Patel with Promise Clause and RBI emblem towards right of Mahatma Gandhi portrait
  • Ashoka Pillar emblem on the right
  • Mahatma Gandhi portrait and electrotype (10) watermarks
  • Number panel with numerals growing from small to big on the top left side and bottom right side

This new note bearing the signature of governor Urjit Patel will shortly be putting out into circulation.
