  • Ideological - relating to a system of ideas and principles on which a political or economic theory is based
  • Divergence - a difference in the way that two or more things develop from the same thing

  • Pursue -  to follow a course of activity
  • So-called - used for showing that you think a word used for describing someone or something is not suitable
  • Bourgeois - belonging to the class of people who are educated and own property
  • Reorient - change the focus or direction of
  • Discomfiture - a feeling of being embarrassed
  • Tussle - a disagreement between two people who are both trying to get or to achieve something

  • Breakthrough - a discovery or achievement that comes after a lot of hard work
  • Tantalising - making you feel excited or hopeful about having something that you want
