  • Concern - a feeling of worry about something, especially one that a lot of people have about an important issue
  • Opt - to make a choice or decision from a range of possibilities
  • Play safe - to avoid taking any risks
  • Nominally - officially described as being or doing something, even though this is not really true
  • Acceding -  to do what someone wants or agree with what they say
  • Clamour -  an urgent request for something by a lot of people
  • Monetary - relating to a country’s money and to the systems that a country uses for controlling its money supply
  • Hinged on something - to depend on something
  • Inflation - an economic process in which prices increase so that money becomes less valuable
  • Bimonthly - happening or produced twice a month or every two months
  • Significant - very large or noticeable
  • Slowdown - a period when there is less activity
  • Roll-out - to introduce a new product or service
  • Neutral - not supporting a particular side in an argument or disagreement
  • Stance - an attitude or view about an issue that you state clearly
  • Trajectory - the way in which a process or event develops over a period of time
  • Welter - a large number of unpleasant things
  • Uncertainty - the fact that something is not known or has not been decided
  • Deterring - to prevent someone from doing something
  • Abidingly - lasting for long time
  • Traverse - to move or travel through an area
  • Transitory - temporary
  • Structural - related to the way that something such as an institution or economy is organized
  • Impacting - showing a powerful effect
  • Elusive - difficult or impossible to achieve
  • Spiking - to increase suddenly
  • Spur - something that encourages someone to do something
  • Consumer - someone who buys and uses goods and services
  • Waiver - an agreement that you do not have to pay or obey something
  • Fiscally - in a way that relates to government revenue, especially taxes
  • Expansive - including many things
  • Germane - relevant to a subject that is being discussed
  • Allowance -  an amount of money that someone receives regularly, in order to pay for the things they need
  • Successive - coming or happening one after another in a series
  • Stable -  not changing frequently and not likely to suddenly become worse
  • Trajectory - the way in which a process or event develops over a period of time
  • Moderation - a reduction in the amount or strength of something
  • Preceding - existing or happening before someone or something
  • Presage - to be a sign that something is going to happen, especially something bad
  • Uptick - a small increase, especially in the price of something
  • Underlying - underlying causes, facts, ideas etc are the real or basic ones, although they are not obvious or directly stated
  • Impulse - a sudden strong feeling that you must do something
  • Onus - if the onus is on someone to do something, it is their responsibility or duty to do it
  • Thrust - to put something somewhere with a quick hard push
  • Revival - the process of becoming active, successful, or popular again
  • Cautioned - to tell someone about a danger or problem that they need to know about or avoid
  • Constituent - one of the parts that form something when they combine
  • Legitimacy - the fact that something is fair and reasonable
  • Protest - a strong complaint or disagreement
  • Crackdown - strong action that someone in authority takes to stop a particular activity
  • Constitution - a set of basic laws or principles for a country that describe the rights and duties of its citizens and the way in which it is governed
  • Unrest - angry or violent behaviour by people who are protesting against something
  • Contraction - the process of becoming smaller
  • Runaway - increasing more quickly than expected
  • Inflation - an economic process in which prices increase so that money becomes less valuable
  • Boycott - to not take part in an event, or to not buy or use something as a protest
  • Convene - to arrange a formal meeting, or to gather for a meeting
  • Overhaul - to completely change a system in order to make it work more effectively

  • Electorate - all the people who are allowed to vote in an election

  • Overwhelmingly - used for emphasizing the amount or strength of something
  • Decisive - making the final result of a situation completely certain
  • Pact - a formal agreement between two people or groups of people
  • Dominant - more important, powerful, or successful than the other people or things of the same type
  • Elite - a small group of people who have a lot of advantages and keep the most power and influence
  • Indigenous - indigenous people lived in a place for a very long time before other people came to live there
  • Conversion - the process of changing from one system, method, or use to another
  • Bicameral - a bicameral parliament consists of two separate groups of people involved in making laws
  • Legislature - the part of government that makes and changes laws
  • Unicameral - (of a parliament) having only one group of members
  • Redistributionist - a person who advocates the redistribution of wealth.
  • Agenda - a plan or aim that is kept secret
  • Consolidate - to make the power, position, or achievements you already have stronger or more effective so that they are likely to continue
  • Diversify - to develop into something different
  • Fallout - the unpleasant effects of something that has happened
  • Contraction - the process of becoming smaller
  • Commodity - something that can be bought and sold, especially a basic food product or fuel
  • Boom - a sudden major increase in trade, profits etc in a particular country or region
  • Upturn - an increase in something such as business or economic activity
  • Revival - the process of becoming active, successful, or popular again
  • Persisting - to continue to exist
  • Unrest - angry or violent behaviour by people who are protesting against something
  • Regime - a system or form of government
  • Delegitimise - withdraw legitimate status or authority from.
  • Consolidate - to make the power, position, or achievements you already have stronger or more effective so that they are likely to continue
  • Rupture -  disturb (a harmonious feeling or situation)
