- Glass ceiling - a point after which you cannot go any further, usually in improving your position at work

- Ironically - in a way that is different or opposite from the result you would expect
- Expunged - removed completely
- Depiction - the way that something is represented or shown
- Caveat - a warning to consider something before taking any more action
- Resemblance - to look like someone or something
- Zeal - great enthusiasm or eagerness
- Coalition - the joining together of different political parties or groups for a particular purpose, usually for a limited time
- Acutely - completely
- Abuse - to use something for the wrong purpose in a way that is harmful (misuse)
- Accused - to say that someone has done something morally wrong, illegal, or unkind
- Inordinate - much more than usual or expected
- Enthusiasm - interest
- Spotlight - receiving a lot of public attention
- Resistance - a force that acts to stop the progress of something or make it slower
