SEBI Officer Grade A Exam (General Stream) Review

Many may not be knowing much about this exam which was held on 11.10.2015!! But im just sharing this so tat u can get some idea & also the future aspirants since I found it difficult 2 know abt this exam when I started preparing for it!!  First of all it was not like a sebi exam,  It was just like a bank exam as I couldn’t find not even a single question regarding Sebi in it!!   I felt it was of easy/moderate level only since a few clerk level  questions like coding & Decoding, Approximation,etc.. were asked..  Just like Sbi PO it had 4 sections Quans, Reasoning, English & General Awareness wit wit 50 ques each.. Now lets look into section-wise analysis based on wat I could remember :-)

Quantitative Aptitude

• Line graph – 5 Marks(Easy one showing the production of 2 bakeries M & N)
• Caselette – 5 Marks
• Missing DI – 5 Marks
• 2 Graph DI(Pie chart & Table) - 5 Marks
• Approximation Questions – 5 Marks(Easy)
• Quadratic equations – 5 Marks(Easy)
  
• Number Series – 5 Marks (Moderate)
• Rest: Arithmetic probs- CI,Boat & Stream, Partnership,Average

Reasoning

• Inequality -4 + 1 Marks(Easy)
• Syllogisms – 4 +1 Marks(Easy)
• Coding & Decoding – 5 Marks(Easy)
• Circular Arrangement – 5 Marks
• Linear Arrangement – 5 Marks ( 2 parallel rows wit 4 ppl in each row, Profession also given)
• Floor puzzle – 5 Marks
• Puzzle (reg Month of birth) – 5 Marks
• Blood Relation – 3 Marks (Easy)
• Ranking & Comparison (Taller) – 2 Marks (Easy)
• How many Alphabetical arrangement of letters in d word “ REGARDS” – 1 Mark
• If any meaningful word can be formed using the first & third letter of the word “JOKE” and the second & third letter of the word “BORE” then wat will be d last letter of the new word formed?? – 1 Mark
• Rest were Critical Reasoning questions(Few were time consuming since we hav 2 read more!!)

English

• Reading Comprehension – 10 Marks (Synonyms & Antonyms were easy)
• Cloze – 10 Marks( Easy)
• Error spotting – 10 Marks (Easy to moderate)
• Fill in the blanks(Double Fillers) -  10 Marks(Easy to moderate)
• Jumbled Sentence – 5 Marks
• Phrase Replacement – 5 Marks(Easy)
