Karnataka Bank Clerk Interview Experience

Hi Friends,

I am Kishan from Udupi (Karnataka). This is my first post for gr8ambitionz. Here I am posting my interview experience which was held on 6th January 2015. Hope it will help those who are going to attend KBL PO interview.

Name : Kishan Shetty

Venue : Karnataka Bank Head office (Mangalore)

Time : 10 30 AM

Post : Clerk

Panel members : 2 (M1 and M2) [3rd panel]

Qualification : B.Sc (CS)

Verification completed by 11:30

My interview turn came at 12:15

I went inside the hall by asking permission but forgot to wish them as M1 asked me to sit and directly asked about my hometown as he knew about my hometown very well ( for about a minute)

Then followed the interview.

1.Asked some personal questions about my family and my academics(went for about 2 mins)
2.Why do you want to join Karnataka bank(Explained them about the career growth opportunities
  and benefits by joining bank)
3.Asked about my experience as I have more than 2 years of experience in BPO also they asked reason for quitting (They kept on asking questions on this but i some how tried to convince them)
4.What is core banking? How is core banking useful in banking sector.(Explained a bit then M1 helped
  while answering this)
5.What is RBI and how it controls money flow?
6.What is CRR n SLR?
7.Asked some scenarios kind off questions.
8.Tell me about PMJDY.(Explained well for a minute)
9.Which debit card is used in PMJDY? (Rupay)
10.Tell me the difference between credit card and debit card.
11.About check and draft.
12. About Fund transfer mechanism RTGS and NEFT (expected question so i was happy while answering this)

Finally M1 said all the best. I thanked them and came out(Bit relaxed as my interview went well)

One thing I noticed that they asked questions on basis of your answer so be prepared.I was happy as they asked only expected questions. They didn't ask any questions from my subjects.
I answered most of them for few questions they gave me hint as well.

Interview went for about 10 minutes.

I was in joy when i saw my Roll no and interview call number in final selection list that too in first list:-)
