SBI Associates PO Online Exam 2014 Review

Hi All ,

I Saurav Ranu from Dehradun appeared for SBI Associates Probationary Officers Online Exam Dated 9th November 2014 (IInd Shift). Exam was easier if compared to SBI PO & IBPS PO 2014. My attempts are 124 with hopefully good enough accuracy to clear the cut off :).

As I did in the IBPS PO started with the GA Section ( 15mins , 32 attempts ) ; then I did Quantitative Aptitude ( 35 Mins , 20 attempts ) ; then English ( 16 mins , 29 attempts ) ; then Reasoning ( 40 mins , 37 attempts ) ; last 14 mins I again did Aptitude 6 more questions solved.

Honestly I expected exam to be as tough as was SBI PO but surprisingly it was of moderate level.

* GA : Many questions were from Banking , very few from Current Affairs . Some questions were very easy & direct . But Marketing & Computer questions were not direct . Attempt them carefully . 2-3 questions were from Life Insurance related to policies.

*Quantitative Aptitude : was easier to my expectations . 5 sets of DI were not very difficult.

• 5 sets of DI's(language,pie chart, bar graph and line chart and tabular)
• 5 series questions
• 5 questions probability (coloured balls)
• 5 data sufficiency ( 1 question based on Partnership )

* Reasoning : was also moderate. Inequalities & Syllogism were of Clerk level.

• Circular Sitting arrangement with some facing inward some outward
• Puzzle based on floor,
• one puzzle based on linear sitting arrangement
• Question based on Machine Input
• 5 questions on inequalities
• 5 questions on syllogism
• 5 questions on Data Sufficiency
• logical reasoning

Question : Among P Q R S T U , P is younger only to U & S . S is not eldest. U is 2nd eldest. R is elder only to T. The one who is third eldest is 33 yrs old.

Right Order was : Q U S P R T

Question : What is relation of M with S ?

Question : There are five floors . P Q R S T lives in these floors.

T lives on floor 3 . Two people lives b/w Q & P. Q lives above of P. S lives on even numbered floor. R does not live immediately one floor above or below of T.

Right sequence was : 1-R , 2- P , 3 - T , 4-S , 5-Q 
* English Language : was not like SBI PO's & IBPS PO's. One could do well with some efforts.

Descriptive Test -

• Essay:
• Role of banking sector in CSR activities.
• Merits and demerits of the self attestation of documents.
• Paragraph writing
• Cleanliness is godliness
• All that glitters is not gold
• Disadvantages of a nuclear family.
• Letter writing
• Write a letter to bank manager to unblock your debit card blocked after attempting wrong pin.
• Write a letter to the  editor of the newspaper for complaining against the lack of security in parks of your society.
• Precise writing was related to Business code of conduct.

That's all friends. Overall paper was moderate , if you have prepared well you will find it easy. My total attempts are 124.  Please ignore the mistakes in review if any. Now I'm eagerly waiting for the results of SBI Clerk , IBPS PO & SBI PO Asso. Im hopefull to clear atleast one of them. Finger Crossed. ALL THE BEST to all for SBI Asso PO.
