Afternoon Shift Reviews of SBI Associates PO Online Exam (9th November 2014)

Hi i am Ranjana from Jharkhand. I attended today's SBI Associate PO Exam Evening Shift.
The level of the exam was lower than IBPS PO.

Firstly i started with GA/marketing/computer i felt that the questions from GA was moderate computer was easy and marketing was difficult. i attempted 34


Some questions are :
  1. kaliash satyarthi nobel price winner related to which movement
  2. EPFO rate increased to
  3. oldest currency
  4. country and capital which does not match
  5. PPF increased to
  6. who was suspended in FIFA
  7. what to do and when to do is  in which process
  8. windows explorer is
  9. ISDN full form
  10. ECB full form
  11. CAR full form
  12. which one not included in OSI model
  13. which one is not operating system
then i moved to English. It was also moderate i attempted 32

I skipped passage and attempted synonyms and antonyms there was fill in the blanks with double blanks, spot the error in given sentence, and also to find error in bold words, rearrangement of sentences which was quite easy.
two passages were there

then i moved to Reasoning and attempted 30 questions
there were blood relation questions, syllogism, inequalities one puzzle one sitting arrangement, one problem of people living in different floors, statement and interference, data sufficiency.
Then i moved to Quant section and attempted 24 questions
questions were from probability, double pie chart, tabular , bar graph, series- one full series was given need to find next series based on same pattern and data sufficiency
totally attempted 120 questions
then we were given 10 mins break 

Important Note : Unlike the last time exam of SBI PO, this time we have to see the questions from monitor itself and have to copy the questions also.
Questions which i have attempted
  • letter to editor about increasing no of amusement water parks and hubs lacking safety measures.
  • essay on merit and demerit of self attestation of document approved by government
  • one precis related to business
  • one comprehension
  • one paragraph on drawbacks of nuclear family

             i am Madhu from vizag. i had my sbi po exam today. i want to give a small but very important tip to people who will be attending upcoming sbi po exam that.. be 100% attentive in the exam. b4 start solving, read and understand the question first. it is really key of success and also minimizes your waste of time. following are my attempts in today exam

Reasoning : 35 (easy to moderate)
                solve everything except puzzles and solve them in the last if u have time
Quant :       35 (easy to moderate)
                avoid solving all questions which consume time
English :     32(moderate to difficult)
               passages are time consuming but grammar is ok
GK :            40(moderate)
                mostly marketing, few ca and easy computers questions

    sir I have done in today exam. I had today afternoon exam and my doubt is about descriptive paper . I have answered all the questions in descriptive paper bt nw in discussion people r saying we need to mark it as answered bt unfortunately I havnt . now my questions is do they consider my answered as valid or not sir. pls help me I had much confidence on this exam bt nw I m loosing confidence. pls sir answer me early

    Dear friends I am seeing lot of posts in several banking coaching websites that "lots of people felt unhappy with the act of SBI(infact IBPS) to give descriptive paper online.They are saying that there was a provision according to which we must read question on the screen and need to copy the same thing on the paper and write(which is obviously a hectic task,and of course we aspirants are unaccustomed with),but it is inevitable to do that for getting our Dream job. And one more thing is there is something like "Save and next" for descriptive also(our friends neglected this part,I am sorry to say,but they are paying huge cost now) So friends be aware of this radical change by SBI(IBPS).Remember all We are warriors,and must not be victims of SBI.

    Cutoff will be declared by considering all shifts of exam(I mean its levels of difficulty),so no problem with relative toughness of paper.and one thing is sure that in SBI exams we can predict the theme and level of difficulty in different sections by observing the first day itself.So based on that my assumption is around 145/250 will be the cutoff!

    Mine on 23rd of this month.Till then i observe the trend and according to it i will prepare.I was one of the earlier registrants of this exam i.e registered and paid fee within 10 min. from the commencement,I hope that's god gave me enough time to prepare...ha ha ha,all the best for your exam yar.

    I filled it on the second day...:D......was hoping to get the first exam slot..lucky to have it on 15th as i was suffering from conjunctivitis and fever...won't make much difference....closed the books after ibps...:P.....thanks...All the best to you too....

    DI - 25 marks / Wrong Number Series - 5 marks / Probability - 5 marks / D.S. - 5 marks / SI&CI, Commission, Train - 3 marks / Area -2 marks, Fencing of field - 1 mark / In equality - 4 marks as I my friend explain me.

    can any one tell me that does one need to pass in each and every section separately? because i have done very good in all the section except data interpretation, i didn't get time for it. i have done 44 general awareness questions with 90 % accuracy, 34 reasoning questions with 90 % accuracy, 38 english questions with 90 % accuracy but didnt get time for data interpretation and did only 15 questions with 40 % accuracy...........................please can any one clear my doubt?

    jo language aati usi mey apply karo na! because it is not officer level exam and Clerk ko face to face customer se communicate karna hota hey..........agar uss state ki language nahi bol payi toh ..........customer will complaint to Branch Manager.........So Time pass ke liye aapko job nahi denge ! (my comment applicable all candidate who do such action like you? Don't take personally)

    at 9 am.. and after ur objective exam gets over at 11 am.. u will b given 10 min to read the instructions for descriptive test and then Descriptive exam starts .. so will be allowed to move out of the examination hall after 12:10 - 12:20 pm

    My Exam was on 15th Nov, 2014 SBI associates PO

    This time I changed my exam solving pattern , I used to attempt first GK, then, English , reasoning, and then DI.
    This time I attempted first GK, then reasoning , then English and then DI.
    It was perfect change as I thought(from previous attempts), since after attempting reasoning my mind becomes little strssed out, so to attempt DI I thought lets relax mind by attempting little easy section.
    Though I dint attempted many questions, I was confident of many questions this time.
    My total attempts were 104.As my preparations has started getting very lazy :(

    LETS SEE. WHAT HAPPENS NOW :)
