Sorry for being late to post the review,
got a bit stuck up somewhere while traveling back home from the centre. As
promised, here goes the detailed review:
Sectional Review
Numerical Ability
This section was a surprise if we
compare it to the previous papers of 2012 and 2013 in a way that the previous papers had much
of the simplification questions (I guess straight 20-25 questions), but this
time there was less of simplification thingy and more of statement questions.
Number series (had to find the next number) had 5 questions, 2 were tricky,
rest presence of mind. Simplification (BODMAS) just 6-8 questions which were
easy in case your shortcuts are intact. Rest there was no probability and
permutation combination. 2 questions from mensuration. Pipes and cisters, si ci
, trains , boats and streams ; all were there. There was a DI set too. It had 5
questions and it was a table. It was somewhat calculation intensive but not
that much too again if you have shortcuts handy. No complex calculations in it
though. It had mainly %age, ratio and average related questions. 2 of which had
multiple calculations.
My suggestion to all the aspirants is to
be thorough with all the chapters and also please don’t start with this section
as it would eat away your time.
Reasoning

Computer
I started with this section and found it
to be really easy in case one is thorough with some basic concepts. I found
most of the questions to be from the mahendra’s pdf of computer awareness. I
would request the aspirants to go through it once. The pdf can be downloaded
from here.
Some of the questions were related to
bit, encryption, cache, bus, internet etc. The questions are covered in the
pdf.
General Awareness
One thing I would like to accentuate
here is that please be thorough with the amount allocation to various sectors
as per the Union Budget 2014-2015. There were many questions related to this.
Also please try to be precise as the options given were really close.
There were 2 questions on ministers and
department, One on dam, 2 on film awards, 2 on sports, One on Ebola, One
currency, One Capital, Kuchipudi dance.
To my surprise there was no date related
question and also no book and author.
P.S As far as the exact questions of GA
and Computer are concerned, I don’t remember much as I attempted these sections
in the beginning.
English
Now coming over to English. English had
1 RC which was a story related to 2 kings (good story though). This RC had
straightaway 10 questions which comprised of 2 antonyms, 2 synonyms, 1 title of
the passage, 3 true false questions and rest the passage info related. Then
there were 5 questions on error spotting, very easy if u read between the
lines. To my surprise, there were 5 questions on spell check, very easy ones.
Cloze test too wasn’t tough, it had 10 questions. There was a para jumble too
which comprised of 6 jumbled sentences and 5 questions followed it. It was easy
again

Overall I have attempted 180 Questions …
The order in which I attempted the paper was
1. Computer
2. General
Awareness
3. English
4. Reasoning
5. Numerical
Ability
Overall Analysis
I would rate the paper as moderate if we
compare it to the previous years. In my opinion, the cutoff would hover
somewhere around 150.
P.S I have tried to be as detailed as I can be. I
may not be in a position to entertain any further queries as this is all what I
remember.
All the best to the aspirants who are yet to appear
for the exam. Though the exam is not going to be the same for everyone, yet if
you are lucky enough ; my analysis may help.
