Review of SBI PO Online Exam held on 21st June 2014 (Morning Session)

Friends, I am Richa Grover. I am an engineering graduate of 2013 and currently working in a college as a lab technician in Uttar Pradesh. Today (21-06-2014)  I've attended the SBI PO Online Exam's morning session. I have attempted 120 questions with good accuracy. All the remaining sections except DI were ok for me, but in Data Interpretation I could attempt only 16 questions (3 of them might be wrong - not sure about those answers). I will try to share my version of review here. 

General Awareness section was most easiest section among all. Some of the questions I can remember are, the easiest way of Funds Transfer, Book name of Kushwant Singh (They have asked this question last weeks also, i saw that in reviews in this site), a question on former S. C. Judge B. N. Krishna (on 11th May, he appointed as the chairman of FPSB), Sunil Gavaskar (head of BCCI), One question on US's suspension of Syrian Embassy, Unsolicited Mail, Swift, GUI, Binary numbers etc.

English section (both objective and descriptive) are good. You should work on previous papers well. You can easily clear these sections. 

Reasoning was ok. I could attempt 25 questions in this section. This section is also moderate but confusing. I wasted my time on seating arrangement question which appears to be very easy (8 people are sitting on a single line facing different directions. You have to arrange them according to their jobs). One question was about 5 envelopes and their sizes, which was very easy you can easily get marks in this. Finally I could manage to solve this, but it took me almost 10 minutes to solve. Remaining questions are ok. I dint even check remaining 50% of the questions as I was in a hurry about DI.

Data Interpretation was the toughest one for me. I just learned all types of graphs and how to solve it. But i dint focus to practice more. In result I have ended up solving only 16 questions in this section. All questions are as shared in last weeks' reviews. One question (theory wala) was about renovation of cabins. For which they gave the painting, furniture, carpeting,  tiling, electric fitting costs details. Asked us about the costs of carpeting cabins etc. This question ate my time.

Some people in my center told me that they've attended 150+ questions with good accuracy. One guy told that he could attempt 30 questions in GA and he is confident to clear the exam.

The overall paper was moderate, but I couldn't perform well due to lack of practice :(. All the best to all. Thanks to gr8ambitionz team for the support.

• English- This section was easy to attempt comprising of 2 comprehension , cloze test , antonym / synonym , sentence arrangement etc. You can attempt about 30 questions within 20 min max if you are good in reading and understanding.
• GK- This was the most easiest section in the exam. You can attempt about 30-35 questions within 10-15 min. If you attempt this section 1st then time management will be easy for you.
• Reasoning- This section was moderate because of confusing questions. if you keep calm & try to understand the questions properly then it will be easy for you. 15-20 marks came from Sitting Arrangement & Puzzle. Input/Output , Syllogism etc. was there. You can attempt up-to 30 questions easily but check the time.
• Di- The most difficult & lengthy section of the exam. Due to lack of practice & speed calculation i am in doubt in this section. But you try to attempt about 10-12 questions max with 100% accuracy. It will be time consuming so keep about 40-45 min time for this section particularly.

My suggestion you should start attempting from Gk,English,Reasoning & finally Di. Hope this will be helpful for you. All the Best Friends

I just want to thank gr8ambitionz firstly. Gk bits you have shared have given me hope out of which 6to15 were from the shared points. My suggestions for cracking PO by today's exam -

1. Try to attempt Gk session first fix the time for 15 to 20 min . I am sure u will get Max as the section is so easy
2. Next go for English which might be having two comprehension - first one is the most easiest next one is a bit time taking. Attempt max in closed test n sentence arrangement. Rest depends on your ability ( 20 to 25 min) 
3. Next go for reasoning - believe me guys it was so easy if or good at puzzle n sitting arrangement. They have given 15 simple arrangements. Dont get frightened go with simple thinking at them u will get the answer. Statement n assmps n cause effect etc are given with in a single paragraph. U can get max ( 30 to 35 )
4. Next u will be having nearly 35 to 40 min for DI. Believe me guys its really tough simply. My advice- go through all the graphs n read some questions from every graph. Take out easiest (comparatively) attempt atleast 10 to 12 correctly. Your job is done. All the best friends :)
