International Affairs

  • It's election season, and politicians are promising the one-rank, one-pension (OROP) to retired military personnel yet again. The latest to join the bandwagon is Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi told a group of ex-servicemen that he backed their long-standing demand.
  • A recent survey conducted by Indian Council of Social Sciences Research (ICSSR) has revealed that 75 per cent tribal children in 22 districts of Rajasthan are lagging behind in education and tribal girls are no more enrolling in schools.
  • The Union Cabinet decided to impose President's rule in Delhi following the resignation of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his council of ministers.
  • AAP on Saturday announced a nationwide anti-graft campaign against Congress and BJP from February 23. Arvind Kejriwal will kick-start the campaign from Haryana on Feb 23 and in UP on March 2.
