Friends, Hope that all the aspirants would have noticed that recent Recruitment Notification published by IBPS :

“ADVERTISEMENT OF COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION [CWE] FOR RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/ MANAGEMENT TRAINEES IN PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS”.

They have made changes in eligibility criteria.
  • The minimum educational qualification now is “ Degree (Graduation) with 60% marks for unreserved category. Earlier it was Degree (Graduation) in any discipline.
  • Also Age has been changed to Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years. Earlier this was Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years. I myself has become a victim of this sort of a unpredictable move by IBPS.

And these modifications made in eligibility criteria including increase in the percentage of marks and by reducing the age limit are really going to affect lakhs of people's lives who have been preparing for IBPS. Because they are suddenly became not eligible for this exam. So, one of our Friends, Mr. Dileep D Bhat from Kerala intends to file a writ petition in Kerala High Court demanding to restore the eligibility criteria as it was followed in the last few years.

He already filed an RTI with IBPS to get details of the CWE PO 2 and got a reply of no avail.

So he humbly requests you to come forward and support him so that we can make fight against this unilateral move of IBPS which is adversely affecting a lot of unemployed people or aspirants who are in search of a Public Sector/Government job.

If you are interested or supporting please join your hands with Him.

You can mail him for more details at dileepdbhat@yahoo.com, dileepdbhat@gmail.com

you can also contact him on his facebook  and  twitter.

    1. PLEASE FARWARD THIS MESSAGE.....

Plzzzz frnds Send this matter to ibpsp@ibps.in

      Subject:
      - Regarding IBPS P.O/MT -3 notification.

      ... Respected Sir,

Talent varies person to person. But it is not depend on academic
percentages of the students (Especially Banking Aspirants).Mostly the persons
who ever appointed in banking sector from IBPS Initial Common Written exam
stage to earlier recruited candidate doesn’t have 60 percentage in their
graduation (Academic Career). It represents hard work, dedication, commitment
of the banking aspirants. Even board of “UNION
      PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISION” also not
expecting 60 percentage in the graduation (Academic Career) from their Civil
Service Aspirants. Our Govt. suppose to reduce the unemployment. But Mr.
Chidambaram, Kandhelwal Committee and Bank of Baroda former MD reducing the age
limits of the banking aspirants and increasing the graduation percentages. Due
to these new amendments of Govt. of India reducing
the national employment and increasing the BELOW POVERTY LINE Families in the
country so the Govt. should encourage the Banking aspirants and develop
the employment in our nation in the way
      of earlier “IBPS P.O-2 NOTIFICATION(i.e.,
Any Graduate without any percentage restriction and not more than 30 years of
age for General merit category )” rules
and regulations . Otherwise the respected Kandhelwal Committee and
Chidambaram amendments suppose to pass these rules(IBPS P.O/MT-3) 3 years
earlier itself. Now according to Lakhs of Banking aspirants it is not a right decision.
Because of already banking aspirants kept enormous efforts in the way of
Preparation for this notification. So we requesting to respected Mr.
Chidambaram and Kandhelwal committee regarding to encourage the talented,
dedicated and hardworking Banking aspirants. Please Modify the notification as
similar to IBPS PO-2 notification regarding Age limit and Percentages.

      Humbly requesting
      Please do the needful,

      Thanking you sir,

      Yours
      Sincerely,

  3. PO is a officer post so 60% is suitable for it. Even every officer post like GIC AO, RRB OFFICER 'B GRADE, FCI management trainee and now Indian oversea bank PO all have minimum 60% CRITERIA and i don't think so anyone have any problem with this.so this is the good decision and i welcome it.

    3. @ rahul::wat u said is right but keep in mind that bank po is mass recruitment. for 25000 posts everyone should be given chance.that is the point. no body cares including me if rbi asks 60% for 100 posts or fci asks 60% for 300 posts. i think for upto 500-1000 posts this criteria can be justified.but why criteria for 25000 posts? please do not compare other exams to bank po.

vacancy in bank po>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>total vacancies of various exam u have mentioned. hope u understand my logic

Rahul n Raj.....U r correct at your point....But dont u feel it should have been notified earlier so that people focussing on IBPS po may have changed their strategy and focussed on something better...Its just like that u book a reserved ticket in a train from a small station and when u reach at station to catch d train on date of journey its announced that many big trains like rajdhani etc dont stop at this station so this station has been excluded from the route ....Try some other train.....

  12. Dear frnd....please add this points during PIL petition, and also collect case winning points from other friend and advocates.... sudden change of eligibility in po3 is not fair and
unjustice.. in india 70% candidate have village and rural background, so
60% marks is too much, eligibility should be based on current IQ
level, even IAS, IPS only need graduation.. and also in IAS,IPS EXAMS if
any change in pattern they will inform one year before , so that
candidates would prepare for that changes, but in ibps didnt give any
information last year, it is really unjustice for economically backward candidates who couldn’t pursue professional courses by spending lakhs of rupees where getting 60% would be easy when compare to traditional graduation.. its slap to poor student if IBPS thinks the percentage is enough to determine the talent in competition exams

I fail to understand the IBPS policy of implementing 60 % as the eligibility criteria .I know some of my friend who have more than 60 % in their graduation and they fail to qualify even the ibps clerk exam .So according to my understanding a person having 59 % or even lower than that as competent or I must say more competent than one having 60 % in their graduation

I also think that 28 years age is lesser for an officer. The age limit should be restored to 30years.Think of a situation in which a B TECH graduate after going for an MBA or an M TECH applying for this post.He/She will be 25-26years old. This means only 1-2 chance for him which is injustice.I also support for restoring percentage marks too..

  31. Bank hiring in 2014-15: No advantage for those who have cleared exams.

The new vacancies to be filled by banks during 2014-15 will be based on the new recruitment process, according to the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).

“Vacancies for 2014-15 are to be filled through subsequent rounds of common exams and interviews. Notification for POs/MTS-III has already been issued. The existing candidates, if qualified under PO-II or the clerical common written exams, will not be considered for recruitment for vacancies under 2014-15. They will have to write the
exams again subject to eligibility,’’ Anup Bhatacharya, Director, IBPS told on Wednesday.

  43. This is a bad news to the people who are preparing for IBPS...

    ReplyDelete
  44. here the candidates are arguing according to their own needs.those who were not eligible due to age are blaming at age qualification and those who were not eligible due to less marks are blaming at % of cutoff marks fixed by ibps. All after this you should remember that this is an officer exam not clerical.so 60% in graduation is legit. do you remember one thing, in ibps clerk 1 the min. qualification was intermediate but when it comes to ibps clerk 2 the min qualification was graduation. at that time why these people haven't raised their voices.why means most of them were of qualified graduates & they didn't want the intermediate candidates to be in competition. so guys, ibps making all these changes according to the vacancies & competition level. For your information, the minimum education qualification for ibps clerk2 was graduation & at that time for sbi it was just intermediate.at that time howmany of you have raised their voices against the ibps clerk2? the only thing which i accept with you guys is,ibps should have informed informed about these changes atleast 6 months prior to the announcement of notification. so guys, here you're not the only person in the competition.take everyone & everything into consideration.don't judge according to your own needs.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Well i thing for a change there have to be a mechanism. You cant change eligibility suddenly there should be prior notification and candidates should be informed atleast a year ago to make necassary adjustments. Hopefuly govt or courts will look into it and come up with sum solution

    ReplyDelete
  46. people are raising objection because ibps did not declare new criteria in advance.they should have put new rules on their website in october 12. aspirants were unaware of new rules and they preparing keeping old eligibility in mind. how can ibps be so irresponsible? now many would say that banking sites discussed it in october 12.but let me ask them how many aspirants are active net users?ibps is totally responsible for this mess. when all gradutes were eligible attrition was 30% , now it will be over 50% because any one with 60% in graduation will get more opportunity. the banks are putting criteria like navratna companies(which they are not). all similar posts or even superior to bank po have no criteria
    1.ias
    2.pcs
    3.lic gic
    4.ssc cgl
    5 mha recently released ad

in rbi 60% can be justified as seats are too less.similar logic can be aplied to fci mgmt trainee
ibps has denied chance to lakhs of graduates

why criteria should be there for 20000 posts when unemployment is at such a high level?

  48. Dear Sir,
I have mailed you at both the id's having the following points-

Thanks for filing a case against IBPS PO new criteria of 60% and decreased age limit of 28, as I am preparing since last 5 months fell deprived and shocked after the new rule. I have already complained it to govt , but no action has been taken .FILE ATTACHED IN MAIL

My points are that to GOVT , for which no action taken -

    (1) As per the notification No. 10/30/3/2012-IR by Dept. of Financial services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India the age limit for bank PO has been reduced to 28yrs from 30yrs. Which is applicable from IBPS PO-3. Even if you age is 28yrs 1 month old you won't be able to apply under general category. This sudden change in rule if effect many bank aspirants like me. Wish Govt. brings the age back to 30yrs. Or some should challenge this sudden change in rule in the court...

    (2) Individual bank exams are better tham ibps . . . ibps ruining opportunities of unemployed . . .EXAMPLE:- for gre n toefl, the committee is unable to allot slots for students , then How can we expect for 40 lakhs aspirants in PO? . . . it never helpful for people. . . As per my above two complaints , you are requested to -

    (a) withdraw if any such changes are going to be happen ,

    (b) give age limit 30 for both bank clerk and PO exam , as retirement age has already increased by central govt.

    (c) Keep gratuation pass ( no percentage bar ) for both clerk and PO . After all a graduate having much gravity and personality than a HS passed school boy .

    (d) One exam i.e IBPS in one year is not good . Some times some brilliant candidate may not appear for various reason , in that case he has to wait a long one year , and age also increases , and sometime they can't appear for the age limit .

    (e) Rather it should be every bank has their own exam , so that people get as many attempt to sit . Don't Govt want to give this opportunity ? We dont want a prediction of IBPS boards of exams and selections .

    (f) Already unemployment become a big problem in India , so why not give everyone a chance , so that later Govt. will not get criticized .

WISH YOU ALL THE BEST SIR .YOU WILL WIN THE CASE

    Thank You

  49. if we want to change this criteria we hav to protest it at mass level just like upsc controversy....we hav to do it fast at national level bcoz lakh of students will affect from this immature decision...they want aggregate 60% in grad.

  51. Here i would like to point out IBPS people's sense. For RRB scale 1 officer, qualification is degree without any percentage restrictions but for IBPS PO, qualification is degree with 60% marks.About age, for RRB scale 1 officer age should between 18-28 but for PO age should between 20-28.I don't understand the logic behind setting different age and marks criteria for the same scale 1 officer to be recruited in RRBs and Nationalised Banks.

    ReplyDelete
  52. In my point of view, everyone has to be equal opportunity .There may be many reasons to not to score good marks in academic .Also graduation of different streams and different universities cannot be compared .And those who thinks 60% marks are mandatory to be PO and they are much able than others than why they donot have courage to face the competition.

Sir,Please continue the protest and wish you good luck

  56. Yes I am also in support for you.. The congress government is playing with the lives of millions of young Indians, only for the sake of vote bank politics and for there own interests. Even when there is likely opportunity for better future for the youths in Government jobs, peoples like P Chidambaram, finds place to play politics in it... Who with there curroupt earnings, can send there son for foreign education and bring them back to hold lucrative government posts. And continue there domination on the poor, youths and the masses with there draculian powers. They can change the law for there own interest, any time, with will and devoid us from our rights to live a better life...

People who do not support this disgraceful and unjust decision to decrese the max age limit to 28 and 60% percentile in degree, should support this noble step taken by Mr Dileep Bhat.
