Indian football team moved a place up to be 168th in the latest FIFA rankings issued on Thursday (4th October 2012). India, who won a hat-trick of Nehru Cup titles last month, have 114 points.
1st Place : Reigning world champions and Euro 2012 winners
Spain continued in the first place with
1611 points even as
five-time FIFA World Cup winners Brazil slumped to a lowly
14th.
2nd Place : Germany remained static in the second place with 1459 points.
3rd Place : Portugal got the
Third place with
1259 points.
Nehru Cup participant,
Afghanistan, were two places above India at
166th, while neighbors
Bangladesh and
Pakistan were
169th and
177th, respectively.
