The Eight ICC Awards ceremony was held on held on 15th September 2012 in Colombo (soposored by LG Corporation). The Awards has been institutionalized by International Cricket Council since 2004. The ICC (International Cricket Council) has been hosting ICC Awards since 2004. The awards recognize and honour the best international cricket players of the previous 12 months.
