  • The perils of something - danger or problems connected with a particular thing / activity
  • Breach - an act of breaking a law, promise, agreement, or relationship
  • Wake-up call - a bad experience that warns someone to change something, usually the way that they behave
  • Fraudulently - dishonestly and illegally
  • Disconcerting - making you feel worried, confused, or surprised
  • Acknowledge - to accept or admit that something exists, is true, or is real
