An Indian origin British medic, Bhasha Mukherjee has been crowned Miss England for the year 2019. She has a Bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Nottingham and can speak 5 languages (English, Bengali, Hindi, German and French). She was due to start her new job as a junior doctor in a hospital in Boston, Lincolnshire, just hours after the Miss England final ended today's evening.
The 23-year-old has moved to the UK from India with her parents when she was 9. As Miss England 2019, she will now compete in the 69th Miss World contest to be held in December in London. As a pageant winner, she bagged over GBP 30,000 worth of prizes, which include a luxury holiday to Mauritius.
