Hi friends, I am Avinash Thota. I appeared for the Preliminary Exam for the recruitment of Probationary Officers for the year 2019 conducted by the State Bank of India (SBI). If you have been following the pattern of SBI PO Prelims exams of last 4-5 years, you will find the difficulty level of the questions moderate. As far as I know, the SBI didn't experiment with the questions this time. So here is my review of today's SBI PO 2019 Preliminary Exam. Happy Reading :)

SBI PO 2019 Preliminary Exam Review / Cutoffs

The exam is of 100 marks. You will have to complete in 1 hour. There will be 3 tests namely English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, the duration of them is 20 minutes each. Let's have a look at the question pattern and difficulty level of individual sections. Personally I felt English language was easier when compared to remaining sections. Reasoning ability was the toughest one.

SBI PO 2019 : English Language

• Comprehension. Very difficult to read and understand if you are not familiar with business news papers like the Hindu Business line or the Economic Times. 
• Remaining all are easy. 
• Cloze test
• Blanks
• Spotting Errors
• Rearrangement

Safe Score : Around 13 - 15

SBI PO 2019 : Quantitative Aptitude

• Data Interpretation (Similar to previous IBPS PO Papers) - 15 questions

• There were 4 sets of puzzles and Seating Arrangement - 20
• Box Based Puzzle (Box + Color)
• Linear Seating Arrangement, North-South based
• Triangular Puzzle
• Floor-based puzzle, 10 floors

• Misc

 Safe Score : Around 9- 13

Overall Safe Score of SBI PO 2019 Prelims will be around 55 for General Category. All the Best for your exam guys :)
