  • Disruption - a situation in which something cannot continue because of a problem
  • Regulator - a person or organization whose job is to be certain that companies, systems etc act fairly and follow rules
  • Subscriber -  someone who pays money in order to receive something regularly
  • Acquiring - to get something
  • Offering - something that is offered for sale
  • Disrupt - to interrupt something and prevent it from continuing by creating a problem
  • Refundable - if something you have paid for is refundable, you can get your money back if you are not satisfied with it or if you are not able to use it
  • Give away - if a company gives something away, they let you have it without paying for it
  • Incumbent - someone who has an official position
  • Saddled with - to give someone something that is difficult to deal with

  • Analyst -  someone whose job is to carefully examine a situation, event etc in order to provide other people with information about it
  • Rebound - to return to a better level or position
  • Declining - becoming less or worse
  • Trajectory - the way in which a process or event develops over a period of time
  • Rival - a person, team, or business that competes with another
  • Rejig - to arrange something so that it is organized in a different way
  • Keep up - to continue to do something
  • Disruptive - causing difficulties that interrupt something or prevent it from continuing
  • Profound - very great
  • Chunk - a large amount or part of something
  • Dramatically - suddenly
  • Essential - completely necessary
  • Come into play - to start to happen or have an effect
  • Rationalise -  to try to find a reasonable explanation for behaviour that does not seem reasonable or suitable
  • Statutory - controlled by a law or statute
  • Levy - tax
  • Moreover - used for introducing an additional and important fact that supports what you have just said
  • Indeed - used for emphasizing the meaning of ‘very’
  • Negotiating - to have formal discussions with someone in order to reach an agreement with them
  • Ecosystem - all the different activities, companies, systems etc that are involved in a particular area of business, especially new technology
  • Walled garden - a service provider on the Internet that controls users’ access to content from other sources
  • Firm - a business or company
  • Sovereign - a supreme ruler
  • Pertaining to something - to be directly related to something
  • Lopsided - not equal
  • Consent - permission to do something
  • Clause - a part of a legal document or law that officially states that something must be done

  • Likes of somebody - a person similar in character or quality to the one mentioned
  • Respectively - (of two or more items) with each relating to something previously mentioned, in the same order as first mentioned

  • Uplift - to make someone feel happier or more hopeful
  • Resounding - complete: used for emphasizing how successful or unsuccessful someone or something is
  • Transition - the process of changing from one situation, form, or state to another
  • Fritter away - to waste or misuse a thing or opportunity
  • Paltry - very small
  • Well-thought-out - planned with all details considered, so that everything happens as it should
  • Bilateral - involving two groups or countries
  • Lacuna - an empty space where something is missing
  • Democratise - to change the way of running a government or organization so that the people in it are more equal and can share in making decisions
  • Accomplished - good at doing something that needs a lot of skill
  • Diverse - very different from each other
  • Far-fetched - difficult to believe because it is very unlikely
  • Grassroots - involving the ordinary people in a society or an organization
  • Understate - to say that something is less important, serious, big etc than it really is
  • Imagery - a set of images
  • Poise - a graceful and calm way of moving, standing, or sitting
  • Determination - the ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult
  • Perseverance - a determined attitude that makes you continue trying to achieve something difficult
  • Etched - if something is etched on your mind or memory, you can still remember it very clearly
  • Harnesses - to control something
  • Legendary - very famous or well known for a long time
  • Follow- up - to do something in addition to what you have already done, in order to be certain of achieving your aim
  • Evaporate - to suddenly disappear
