Meet the new Chief of Indian Bank - Kishor Kharat

Public sector Indian bank has today announced that Kishor Kharat has recently assumed charge as the new Managing Director and CEO of the bank. Prior to this appointment, he was serving MD and CEO of IDBI Bank, which was replaced by Mahesh Kumar Jain. 

During the tenure, he also served as the Chairman of IDBI Capital Market Services, IDBI Asset Management and IDBI Trusteeship Services. He was also on the Board of Directors of IDBI Federal Life Insurance as well as Exim Bank.

Kharat is a member of the Reserve Bank of India Committee on Financial Inclusion and is currently the Alternate Chairman of IBA (Indian Banking Association) Standing Committee on Risk Management and Basel Implementation. A graduate of Commerce and Law, Kharat also holds a degree in Master of Business Administration. He is also a member of the CII National Committee on Banking.
