Important update about SSC CGL 2016 Exam Timings & Question Pattern

Friends, today the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the further elaboration on the Revised Scheme of SSC CGL 2016 Exam. Here are some main highlights of the new notification.

Highlights of SSC CGL 2016 new Notification

• The Tier I and Tier II of the Exam are to be conducted in the Computer Based mode. 
  
• Tier I exam will be held from 27th August 2016 to 11th September 2016.
• The exam on the first 3 days (27th to 29th August 2016) will be held in two batches.
• First Batch : 10 AM to 11:15 AM
• Second Batch : 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM
• Thereafter from 30th August 2016 to 11th September 2016, the exam will be held in three batches per day. 
• First Batch : 10 AM to 11:15 AM
• Second Batch : 1 :15 PM to 2:30 PM
• Third Batch : 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM 
• The entry closing time will be half an hour before the schedule start time of the Exam.
• The number of questions in Tier I has been reduced from 200 to 100.
• The paper will be of 200 marks with each question carrying 2 marks. 
• The duration of the exam would be 75 minutes.  
• 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. 
• Call Letters for the Tier I exam will be available from 10th August 2016.
• Tier II exam will be held in November 2016.
• Tier III and DEST / CPT will be held in January 2017.
