Success Story of Rakesh Soni (SBI Assistant)

Hello everyone, I am a reader of Gr8AmbitionZ.com. I have been selected in SBI assistant. I would like to share my success story of  SBI Clk.

Name : Rakesh Soni

Roll No : 1510700747

Place : Bhilai (Chattisgarh)

Qualification : B.Tech (ET & T), M.Tech (Digital Elex)

Exam : SBI Clerks

Exam Venue : Bhilai (Chattisgarh)

Interview Venue : SBI Regional Office, Bilaspur (Chattisgarh)

I have completed BTECH(ET & T)  From Rungta College Of Engineering & Technology,BHILAI  in 2009.  And completed my MTECH(DIGITAL ELECTRONICS) From Rungta College Of Engineering & Technology,BHILAI  in 2012 . I have started preparing for bank exams in 2013. I used to prepare Quant and Reasoning from R.S. Agrawal books, general awareness and banking from Gr8AmbitionZ.com  and news papers and English from Lucent book.I used to study 12 hours a day but with lack of planning. I just used to sit in my room and practice all reasoning and Apti chapter wise but did not give any practice tests.

But when i got to know that practice test are very good for banking exams, I created my accounts on 2 websites for practice test and then start appearing for my practice test. Then I have decided to prepare more wisely for my main exam and decided to write practice test every day. I have divided the time 12 hours in 6 slots for English, aptitude, reasoning, banking, general awareness and computers with most of the time allotted to Quant, Reasoning, and banking awareness (online mostly).

I studied for a minimum 10 hours a day giving more preference for banking and GA because those sections are easy scoring and less time consuming subsequently you'd get more time for other sections.

Since I had an engineering background, QA was my strongest section. I revised all old concepts from books and solved one QA paper everybody. Initially don't bother about your speed and concentrate on the accuracy factor. Few weeks before the exam, you are sure to gain good speed provided you follow the short cuts and speedy ways of solving it. Please follow a good guidance book thoroughly as it helps you to go through all the topics.

"Na haar se na jeet see, kinchit nahi bhaybheet main, sanghrash path par jo mila, yeh bhi sahi woh bhi sahi"

SBI CLK  Interview was the best interview of my life. I answered all the questions in Hindi.

STUDY PLAN-
  • For Reasoning : R.S.AGARWAL
  • For Quantitative Aptitude : M.TYRA
  • For English : The Hindu and Wren & Martin
  • For G.K: Gr8AmbitionZ.com and daily newspaper
I took speed tests periodically. Speed tests also helped me a lot. My friends called me speed boy. Most of the time I like to sit in front of my laptop and
I was totally depend on self-study. I began studying aptitude & reasoning from the book by R.S. Agarwal. This book is very useful. It helps a lot to get a grasp of the reasoning and quant section. and I try to solve all the questions of  Gr8AmbitionZ.com  websites everyday. because this  website publish good content. For daily news I regularly visit online website Gr8AmbitionZ.com
in order to improve my DI, I did the DI and DS chapters. If you want to clear your quantitative aptitude then you must have very good practice of DI.
For the GA part, I read the Newspaper and Gr8AmbitionZ regularly.
For English - The Hindu and book (Lucent).

Advice –
As an advice to the students preparing for competitive exams, especially banks, I would say that their preparation should be aligned completely with the pattern of the examination. They should know what is required to be studied and how much effort is required to be made for each section according to their strength and weakness. And relying more on accuracy rather than speed is required.
Don't just have a career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced life. I use the words balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationship, mental peace are all in good order. There is no point of getting promotion on the day of your break up.There is no fun in driving the car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable, if your mind is full of tensions.

Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in the spoon kept n your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same is with life where health and relationships are marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in you life. Else, you may achieve the success but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive will start to die. All the best to all future aspirants. Remember that it is not a tough exam and you can do it. It's important to believe in yourself...

KEEP PATIENCE NEVER GIVE UP

Thank you very much Gr8AmbitionZ and finally, Thank You God!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. hearty congrats rakesh.. :) n thank u for sharing ur success story.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. You did Mtech to become assistant in SBI,only God can save this country, what a waste of time, energy, money and resources, and you are proud of this, how???

    ReplyDelete
  25. VERY MOTIVATIONAL BHAI.CONGRATZ.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agreed to the facts if this is supposed to be the final destination...... moreover if it would be just the 1st step then this needs to be appreciated well... there are so many mtech passed who are trying to be banker but not getting up to finals like mr rakesh did.. if you have goals towards some civil selections... I appreciate... otherwise people like M.tech can crack the exam with 2 hrs daily study... 12 hrs study for cracking clerical exam for Mtech guy is not a good sign....

Any ways good luck for your future.... My sugestion do not stuck with it think for IAS & Others as you have potential to hardwork....

    ReplyDelete
  27. if u cant motivate then plz dont demotivate others.....
those who are posting demotivating comments might have 5 or 6 job offers in their hand.
but there are many people who are jobless..

    ReplyDelete
  28. exactly..... evryone has there needs...... so only motivate once .....

    ReplyDelete
  29. i suggest vacancies should comprise of reservation on basis of stream wise( ba, bcom, bsc,b.tech different cut of for different stream) because if it not then there will be a time when bank will comprise of b.tech employees only

    ReplyDelete
  30. FIRST YOU DID BTECH THEN MTECH AND NOW YOU ARE CLERK,,,,,,,,,,,,THINK TWICE

    ReplyDelete
  31. yaar jab clerk hi banana tha to itni badi degree kyo li?..achaar daalne k liye?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I AGREE BINIT..........FOR MTECH PPL CLERK IS CLEARING CLASS 1 EXAMS BCOZ ITS ENGINEERING

    ReplyDelete
  33. really motivated me.......thanks a lot rakesh

    ReplyDelete
  34. AGAR COMPETION ,COMPETION HAI THEN ALL WOULD BE TRYING FOR IAS

    ReplyDelete
  35. Its not question of demotivating ,its common sense, its then wrong decision of taking btech, pehle btech kia bcoz of that person some other couldnt get btech who might have done good in btech line

    ReplyDelete
  36. bhai ise success story bolte ho b.tech then m tech or koi degree nai bachchi thi kya..yar tum log ko bank me hi aana hota h to apne perent ka paisa kyn kharch karte ho simple grad karo then bank railway scc karo...b.tech kiya m.tech kiya to aage bado sayta nadela ki tarah...bcz india technology k manle me no 1 h so plz kuch to simple grad karne walon k liye koi to jgah chod do...

    ReplyDelete
  37. people are not aware of this;(

    ReplyDelete
  38. dear friends professional degrees like BTECH,MTECH,BBA,MBA IS SUBJECTED TO MARKET AND ECONOMY GROWTH recession make all professional degree holders jobless
    In competition all are equal
toughness of exams is similar to.
competitive exams have only one golden rule "practice makes man perfect"
even simple graduate given more preference in interviews so don't be hopeless
    motivate each other.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Rakesh ji. Aapne bohot jaldi decision liya banking karneka. N mtech. To banking y

    ReplyDelete
  40. 100% fact ur telling i'm agree
only 2 kind of people doing "laffebazi" and de-motivating others
    1. Having 5 or 6 jobs in hand
    2. totally useless people who interesting in "reservation politics" debate

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am not demotivating. Main bas ye keh raha hoon M.tech kr k kam se kam PO banna chahiye

    ReplyDelete
  42. haan bhai pawan thoda jaldi ho gaya itna jaldi ki ye mera last attempt tha SBI clk ka I WILL CROSSED 28 this year ...so kuch reasons ne banking k liye roka but finally i decided to go banking sector

    ReplyDelete
  52. My dear banks have no personnel issues with your degrees,,, there are times when even a b pharma student got job in banking which is totaly different than btech or bcom guy.... banks only need a person with massive confidence and customer handling skills... rest written is just criteria to check analytically & logical skills and to eliminate the competition as per requirement . So dont be on the fact that only btech will be there in banks.. what will be there is best talent only..

    ReplyDelete
