Hello, this is Pratiksha from Kolkata completed economics hnrs in 2013 want to share my interview experience with all u guys at Gr8AmbitionZ I would like to thank Gr8AmbitionZ a lot for providing those useful interview related study materials.

Centre : UBI STAFF TRAINING COLLEGE, KOLKATA
Date : 16/02/2015

Time : 1P.M.

Panel : X

I reached the venue at 12:45 p.m. ,they called us inside at 1:15 p.m. we were provided with a blank sheet and were asked to write six lines in five minutes on the topic "World war between India Pakistan in Cricket Field" i.e. (cricket e india pakistan bishojuddho) in bengali obviously.  Then document verification started and it was completed within 3 p.m. My turn for interview came at 4p.m. as my serial no. was 18.

There were four male and one female member in the panel.

Me: May I come in please..

M3: Yes please

Me: Good Afternoon Mam, Good Afternoon Sirs..

M2 n F: Good Afternoon

M1, M2: Pratiksha we r doing pratiksha for u (they were kidding)

M3: Plz take ur seat

Me: Thank u Sir

M3: Where do u stay?

Me: answered

M2: plz tell something about ur family..

Me: answered

M2: What ur father is doing?

Me: He is working as Cheif manager at Indian oil Corporation Ltd.

M1: ok. y didnt u join Indian Oil ?

Me: Sir, they recruit CAs n those who qualified GATE...but i havent done any of these

M3: So ur subject is Economics Honours

Me: Yes Sir

M3: U have good percentage in graduation why didnt u go for msc..

Me: No sir actually i dont want to go for research work..i prefer to do a job and then want to pursue mba..so preparing for various competitive exam.

M2: Didnt u apply for Ibps po?

Me: yes Sir couldnt qualify...

M2: How much u scored in Po?

Me: SIR 80 and cutoff was 82 (for west bengal general)

M3: U r appearing first time for ibps clerical?

Me: Yes Sir

M3: How much u expect?

Me: 148

Now begins the actual interview

M3: Can u tell me the difference between microeconomics and macroeconomics?

Me: Explained

M2: What is GDP? How will u measure it?

Me: Explained..

M2: Can u tell me the current GDP rate and also in amount?

Me: Told the rate but couldnt remember the amount

F: What is law of deminishng return? Explain with some consumer good..

Me: Explained

F: Plz say something about financial inclusion..and any recent project under that..

Me: Said

F: How will u convince people below poverty level to open account for PMJDY?

Me: said

M3: Will u be sympathetic or emphathetic towards those poor people?

Me: said sympathetic

(as I was confused between sympathetic and empathetic)

M3: NO u should be empathetic..in this field u need to work with those people ...so ur attitude should be empathetic..

Me: Surely Sir.

M3: OK Thank you..

Me: said thank u to all

The interview was for 15mins..it was in both English n Bengali..
