- On the eve of his visit to India, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said he plans to sign a nuclear cooperation agreement that would allow Australia to sell uranium to India, which is expecting a "significant outcome" from his visit.
- PM NarendraModi concludes successful visit to Japan. Some of the highlights of this visit are,
- Japan promised to give USD 35 billion to India over the next 5 years for developmental projects.
- Japan has lifted the ban on six Indian entities including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) which was imposed in the aftermath of 1998 nuclear tests.
- Modi has asked NRIs to visit India at least once a year to boost tourism.

- Signed a MoU for cooperation in heritage conservation, city modernisation and cooperation in the fields of art, culture and academics.
- India has decided to set up a Special Management Team directly under the PMO to facilitate proposals from Japan.
- The two sides agreed to enhance their defence and strategic cooperation to a new level and also decided to speed up negotiations on a civil nuclear deal that could not be concluded now.
- Tokyo will help India in providing financial, technical and operational support to introduce Bullet trains, a project that Modi has been actively pursuing.
- President Pranab Mukherjee today released a set of eight commemorative postage stamps featuring renowned Indian classical musicians at a function at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
- The set features icons form the world of Indian classical music :

ReplyDeleteYou should be cautious with interview,because i was told by somebody that IDBI panel is worst panel for interviews,they want long lasting employee with compulsory bond 3 years,so if you want to stick with this one for three years then you can go!

ReplyDeleteby 6-7 years you cannot be with IDBI,because you will be attracted by some private banks with lucrative salaries(this is an added advantage exclusively in IDBI),even if you may be there,IDBI wont bother about your loan!

Manipal program is also as good as IBPS PO,
ReplyDeletewho said "no guaranty for job after PGDBF", its not like that you
will get job for sure, here satisfactorily means 'you should attend whole
program without absent, and its like an ordinary college'. the intention behind
this 'satisfactorily' clause is discourage students wavering attitude to
different jobs even after joining with IDBI Manipal program .The purpose of
this program is to chistle selected candidates in the way (Bank) want ,Had
there is no provision for job guaranty IDBI would not have conducted exam to
select candidates for their program. But yah the basic for Gr.A is
14,400< ibps po(14,500),but if you see the pay scale of Gr.A you get clarity of thought(its
increment is 1000 > 600 of IBPS),here you are Asst. Manager, there PO. And
after Jun 2015 the revised pay scales will come into effect so we may get much
huge pay, all are coming in our way with this program (Proper training +Experience
+Pleasure to have college life once again +huge salary after IBA's 10th bipartite
come into effect+ Job satisfaction).If you want to settle in bank career this
is correct option, where you get proper training and internship before joining
into job itself, so it helps you a lot. So after 3 years of successful career
here, if you want to go out then many private sector banks may ready to hire
you with lucrative packages (even you cannot imagine such hike, it's because
your PGDBF+ experience weight).In some way IBPS can be considered as bogus
where we have no guaranty to be selected (for low mark gainers).So In banking
sector our priority should be RBI >SBI >like this programs >IBPS, but
final note is “IBPS” exam standard is far greater compared to this exam, 2013
paper of IBPS is like grandfather to CAT exam, so recruitment through IBPS has
its own value and you need not bother about all these programs, just get select
and dedicate yourself to Banking service.
of course not a big problem,they will provide bio data form, checklist soon for interview in their IDBI site, then they may even provide link to download application,so no problem

ReplyDeleteWhat you said is some what correct!,because IDBI was primarily meant for "Industrial banking",that means your clients will be 'entrepreneurs',so you have to attract them with your skills,and even Govt. schemes also play a vital role in your daily business. IDBI is now doing business of general banking also,for that they hire employees from IBPS. But for their industrial credit needs you will be useful,so they churn you like what they want in this Competition. 'NPA',and bankrupt cases are common in IDBI,but the relief here is you are not supposed to compel to do certain task(because this is also PSB,so general attitude of govt. will prevails) unlike ICICI(where employees will be harassed to finish targets).So all together this is good job,but go to it if you wan to there for at least 3 years otherwise your cost benefit ratio will be poor.Then i know little about the intake in IDBI(after interview),so be cool you will be get selected.

on which areas they will stress more in interview?
actually i dont have proper guidance so plz help me.. give any suggestions to crack da interview..
IDBI is your recruiter so they only conduct interview,they will have their own panel. IBPS is itself a board to conduct Banking recruitment,but it was established by IBA(Indian banking association) to assists different banks to hire worthy employees,and to help aspirants to get bank job through common exam,but IBPS has its own limitations,its jurisdiction confined to recruit personnel for banks under Banking regulation act,so we can see SBI(separate statutory body) has its own recruitment.and IBA gave permission to some banks to have separate exams and intake iff they have special recruitment drive through certain courses(like this PGDBF),so here IBPS role is only maintaining database of candidates,conducts exam(in the name of respective bank,here IDBI,and also for BOB).Now Manipal academy is one reputed organization for Banking courses so it has most of the clients like IDBI,BOB,HDFC,HSBC etc(they will train their personnel here),so Manipal is a mute spectator here.And now lastly coming to your interview---Yah friend interview is nothing but "inner view",if you have confidence in you, you can get through, but remember,don't feel shy and embarrassment when you hear some awkward questions or unwanted questions,because some members want to test your character with such questions.Answer every question with little smile(but not huge),and if you may be asked about your commitment with bank then say in broader context but not in insular way.I hope this is not an IAS interview so they will ask something regarding banking and current affairs and some analytic and socially motivated questions,then you should answer them with little fashion and mighty passion.All the best
