My SBI PO Exam Experience on 6th July 2014

My name is Kiran Kumar Nandamuri, a chemical engineer by qualification. Being selected for Bank of Baroda through IBPS, I was pretty cool headed while entering the exam. Last year, I have scored 113 in SBI PO exam. So this year, I have practiced enough online mock tests to having a pre hand experience of how the SBI exam shall be.

Few of GK questions were

1. Damodaran Committee was appointed for
2. Which bank is recently added in RBI 2nd schedule act
3. Which among is plastic card
4. What does CRM stand for ?
5. Upper limit of basic saving account ?
6. Who can make the check expire before 90 days
7. When is universal children's day celebrated ?
8. From which country does India export more than 75% of defense equipments ?

My Attempts :

• GK section : 45 question in 14 minutes
• ENGLISH section: 33 question in 30 minutes.  I could not attempt any question from re-arranging of sentences.
• DI section : 17 question in less than 25 minutes
• Reasoning section : ~20 question in more than 40 minutes. I spend 15 minutes fruitlessly on puzzles, circular arrangement.  I bleeded time..
• Descriptive : I practice all formats of letter writing and have performed really well. Its the second section, where I have my 100%.

I have attempted 118 and was disappointed with my performance. I could have easily added 10 more to it, if I wasn't confused and lost my nerves. Ideally, the cut off should hover around 120 +/-5 including objective & descriptive.
