Here is an important announcement for CAT 2014 aspirants, you will get 30 minutes more to attempt the questions. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, the organization which is conducting the online CAT Exam for the year 2014 has announced that the time of the CAT Exam has been increased to 170 minutes (Until CAT 2013, the time for the exam was 140 minutes). Henceforth, in sections of Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, you will have to answer 50 questions each instead of earlier 30.

In simple words you will get more Questions and more time to solve.


The registration process of CAT 2014 for entrance to IIMs and other prestigious business schools will start from 6th August 2014 to 30th September 2014. And the Online Exam will be held on 16th and 22nd November 2014 across 99 cities at 354 examination centres in four sessions. The result will be declared in the third week of December.

Important Points to note about CAT 2014 :

• Online Registration Starts from : 6th August 2014
• Last Date for Online Registration : 30th September 2014
• Download of Admit Cards : 16th October 2014
• Online Exam Dates : 16th November 2014 and 22nd November 2014
• Tentative Dates of Results : 3rd week of December 2014
• Total Duration of the Exam : 2 hours 50 minutes
