Sir,

Through your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw attention towards the recent rise in prices of various essential commodities, especially the hike in railway freight charges, LPG cooking gas prices and petrol prices. As you are aware sir, the common man invariably has to bear the brunt of price rise. The spiraling rise in prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas and Petrol directly affects the budget of the average consumer. Its indirect impact i.e., hike in prices of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) too has severe implications on the consumption patter of the common man. Moreover the hiked railway freight charges add to the already highly priced commodities. So, its the time the powers that be realized the gravity of the situation and adopt proactive measures to tackle the same.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
Utkal Mehata
