Important Things to Keep in Mind While Filling IBPS Clerks IV Online Applications

Hey friends, it’s very nice to interact with you people again..., When I posted my PO & Clerk Experiences in this site I got a lot of questions from many aspirants in the form of comments, calls, messages & emails regarding very minor corrections in their applications. I know a number of people who messed up with their careers and lost golden opportunities due to some silly mistakes in their application forms. So here, I am giving you some tips to avoid those silly mistakes while filling the online application forms. I made this post by keeping upcoming IBPS and SBI Exams in mind. But I'm 101% sure that this post will be helpful for you while applying for any recruitment notification.

Things to do while Applying Online

• Having Proper Documents / Certificates in Hand : Of-course, I am not doubting your memory power. But, people tend to make mistakes when they are in a little hurry. So chances are there for you to enter wrong percentages and dates while filling online application forms. Which in turn make you end up with cancellation of application or rejection during the verification process. So, please have all your certificates in your hand and check the details twice before filling the application. If you are not feeling comfortable carrying them along with you (in-case if you have to apply from internet cafes or from friends' home), just make a note of all important details on a white paper (Including names, Percentages, Passing years etc) in an order.  
• Name of the Applicant / Father's / Mother's Name: You may like it or not, but don't mess up with your name. Keep the name as it is as in your SSC / 10th Class certificates. Better don't even change the spellings and the order of First, Middle and Last names. 
• Date of Birth : Keep it as it is. Check twice.
• Caste : You should be very very cautious about this. A number of people have not been allowed to interviews of IBPS (POs & Clerks) due to mismatch / missing the appropriate certificates (I personally recommend you guys to apply for the new one while you are applying for the PO or CLERK. So that, you won’t have any trouble during the INTERVIEW).
• Date of Passing : If you have certificates in hand, you use the date on those certificates. Otherwise just give the date of your results or any nearer date. No problem in this. 
• Email ID : Keep in mind that now a days all organizations interacting with aspirants via emails and mobiles only. So use proper email id which is in use (check it once before you apply). I advise you to create a new email id with your full name with your initial expanded. I prefer Gmail, as one of our Andhra Bank's clerks had problem with other email provider because they stopped their service all of a sudden. 
• Phone Number : If you are a regular sim changer then its better to give any of your family member’s number. Don’t give the number which won’t be with you. As I have mentioned earlier, they will contact you via emails and mobiles only. You will be missing their updates if you give wrong info. Keep this in mind while applying. 
• Preference of Banks (for IBPS Aspirants) : Filling this is a very easy job before getting results, after getting the results if you want to change THERE IS NO WAY AT ALL. So, first do your homework to choose the best banks & keep them in order. 
• Be Cautious : Don't be in a hurry. Take your own time and check the application form twice before hitting the SUBMIT button.  Keep in mind that even a silly mistake may lead you to lose your dream job. Avoid listening to songs, talking to friends while filling your application form. 
• Don't wait till the last date : Being Indians, we have the tendency to wait till the last date to apply. But due to heavy traffic, the server may broke down at the eleventh hour. So its always better to apply as soon as you come to know about the notification.

Last but not the least...

In your application, if anything goes wrong, there is no turning back (of course, in some cases you can apply again if you find out your mistake in the right time, but why to take the chance ? In many online application forms they will clearly mention that "the candidature will be cancelled in the case of more than one applications"

Important things to do after filling the Online Application :

• Don’t forget to take the print out of the application. 
• Send this pdf application to your email id for future use.(One of the guy forgot to bring the application to interview, he wasted his valuable 30min’s time to know how to take the application reprint, if he had it in his email id he would have saved 20min’s of his time & could be clamed his mind for interview).  
• Note down your REG.NO, PASSWORD & ROLL.NO in a safe book. It will be helpful during your results & further process. I've came across a number of people who lost their roll numbers at the time of results and asking for the help. 
• Photo ID Proof : You are required to bring a photo id proof to the exam. So please do carry a photo id proof which has your CORRECT DATE OF BIRTH, NAME & PHOTO.., UNTIL THE COMPLETION OF WHOLE PROCESS YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT ONLY THAT ID PROOF WHICH YOU HAVE TAKEN TO THE EXAMINATION HALL. So, be very very careful with this id proof.

Conclusion :  

• Keep your certificates with you
• Check Twice before hitting the submit button
• Don't wait till the last date
