International Affairs
  • The UN General Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution aimed at protecting the right to privacy against unlawful surveillance in the digital age, in the most vocal global criticism of US eavesdropping.
  • The U.N. General Assembly approved a resolution expressing outrage at "widespread and systematic gross violations" by Syrian authorities.
  • The UN secretary-general says an estimated USD 1.2 billion worth of cocaine transits through West Africa each year, and the Security Council is expressing "deep concern" about the drug trade's increasing links to terrorist groups.

Business and Economy
  • The Competition Commission today imposed Rs. 1 crore fine on Abu Dhabi-based Etihad for non-disclosure of full information in the course of seeking approval for its purchase of 24 per cent stake in Jet Airways.
  • The Cabinet has decided to allow Reliance Industries to almost double the price of natural gas from April provided the firm gave a bank guarantee to cover its liability if gas-hoarding charges are proved.
  • The government on Thursday decided to provide interest-free loans of Rs 6,600 crore to cash-starved sugar mills to make payments to cane farmers.
Sports
  • The failure to reach the semifinals of BWF Superseries Finals took a toll on her ranking as Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal slipped two places down the rungs to settle for the eight position in the latest World badminton ranking .

    I KNOW THE EXAMINATION DATES OF SBI CLERK 2014.
    THE DATES ARE:
    MARCH 8TH AND 9TH
    MARCH 15 TH AND 16TH
    MARCH 22ND AND 23RD
    BUT I DONT KNOW THE NOTIFICATIN DATE. I THINK THE NOTIFICATION DATE IS LAST WEEK OF THIS MONTH OR FIRST WEEK OF NEXT MONTH.

      I HAVE MANY DOUBTS ABOUT SBI EXAM SIR.
      ONE OF MY DOUBT IS , SBI CLERK 2014 IS CONDUCTED IN OFFLINE MODE OR ONLINE MODE.
