• Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar  made an aerial survey of the flooded areas on the bank of the Ganga in Patna district and directed the officials make proper arrangements for relief and rescue operations in the affected areas.

• The Reserve Bank today said its ombudsman section has received highest number of complaints against public sector lenders SBI and its associate  banks, followed by United Bank and UCO Bank in the last fiscal from the North Eastern region.
• Rupee closes at all-time low of 68.80, down 256 paise from yesterday.

Sports

• Usain Bolt is not worried about tarnishing his career by failing to retain his 100 and 200 metres Olympic titles in Rio de Janeiro in three years' time.
